Carl Schroeder is a B.M. Theory/Composition major from Minneapolis, Minnesota. His compositions have been played by the Calhoun-Isles Community Band, the Minneapolis Southwest High School Wind Ensemble, the St. Olaf Band, the St. Olaf Norseman Band, the Minnesota Youth Symphony Orchestra and other large and small ensembles. In summer 2002, Carl independently released a CD recording of his original piano compositions entitled Between the Lakes. His long-range ambition is to be involved in the creation of an international organization modeled after the Peace Corps for socially conscious musicians, composers and music educators.
