Murray Garden Tractor 16hp 44' Triple Blade Deck w/SnowBlade

 
1984 Murray Garden Tractor. One Owner garage kept (my opinion 95% rust free). 

 

  • The tractor has a 16 hp twin Briggs & Stratton engine ( two cylinder, air cooled, electric start with alternator) **see note below**
  • Transmission- 4 speed with one reverse
  •  Blade housing (mower deck ) 12 gauge steel with three cutting blades approximate 44" cut.
  •  42" snow blade (Excellent condition)
  •  Wheels weights to fit the large rear 12" wheels.
  •  Wheel weights are 45 lbs. each. (Excellent condition)
  •  Tire chains to fit rear tires. rear tire size is 23"x8.5x12" 2 ply. (Excellent condition)
  •  The front wheel is 8" with 16x6.5x8" tires.
  •  Tractor is about 5'5" long x 3' wide
  •  Mower deck is approximate 48" wide and the deflector is missing.
  • There are over $400.00 in accessories (if bought new)
Over the years I have replaced the normal items- belts-spindles on the deck. Did some work on the front axel. Replaced both front tires two years ago. Original tires on back are fine. The seat had a few breaks in the plastic so I fixed it for the start of the mowing season with heavy duty tape. No major work had to be done over the years. Transmission works fine.

NOTE:   This season I cut 3 times & on the 4th time out after 15 mins. the motor lost power. Did a compression test & no compression in one cylinder. Pulled the head off & found the connecting arm broke as seen in photo. My opinion the cylinder looks ok. Everything was running just fine until it lost power. So the engine needs to be repaired. So this garden tractor can continue doing a good job.
