Mum's the Word 2008

Mum's the Word 2008  is a not for profit organisation who organise events to benefit various charities.

Mum's the Word have produced four concerts in the West End of London. The first concert  was at the Soho Revue Bar on Sunday 9th of March and featured Nicole Faraday as host as well as performances from Shona White, Hadley Fraser and Gemma O'Duffy to name but three. The concert was completely sold out with not even standing room to spare and was a roaring success.  Our second concert, again at the Soho Revue Bar, was on Sunday the 8th June 2008 and featured Chris Hamilton as host, with performances from Rachael Wooding, Sabrina Aloueche and Gareth Chart plus many many more. We also showcased performer Charlotte Godfrey who made her stage debut that night singing Scott Alan's "I'm A Star" and "Maybe I Like It This Way" from Lippa's The Wild Party. Our third event was Never Neverland at the Duchess Theatre, London on Sunday 21st September 2008. This showcased the music of Broadways as well as that of the extremely talented Scott Alan and featured Scott Alan himself as well as Jenna Lee James, Julie Stark and Annalene Beechey as well as many others. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Eden Espinosa and Jenna Leigh Green from the US, both of whom made their West End Debut that night.  For audience thoughts head over to the Reviews Page and you can take a first hand look at our concerts by having a look in the Photo Gallery.  Most recently, Mum's the Word produced a one night only Gala Performance of Jonathan Larson's RENT, at the Garrick Theatre London.  This raised funds for TheatreMAD and got some fantastic reviews as well as being an extremely enjoyable, yet emotionally charged evening. As well as Concerts we also regulary auction our fabulous customised ducks! These little fellows are customised by the best of the West End and Broadway and in the past have included Stephanie J Block, Shoshana Bean, Kerry Ellis, Dianne Pilkington and Nciole Faraday plus many many more. We also have auctions constantly ongoing and most recently have ducks customised by Shona White, Annalene Beechey, Simon Greiff and Rachael Wooding. An exclusive giant duck is currently making its way around the West End and will be up for Auction early next year.
