As most of you are now aware, it was unanimously decided back in May 2008 that Multiple Madness be handed over to a government run organisation who would be able to continue with the safe guarding of the group.
In the end, Home Start, Rossendale has taken over since June 2008 and if anyone is interested in attending the group or even volunteering to help out every time it is on the please can they contact Janet Halpin on 01706 214 621.
The group is still going as normal and I look forward to seeing all the regulars and especially newcomers with their recent arrivals.
I can still be contacted to give information regarding the group as necessary but please make Janet the first port of call.
It has been a wonderful 3 years that the group has been running (August 2005) and I know I have made a lifetime of friends and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Us families with multiples are definitely a unique brand of human beings and I'm glad to be a part of something so different and special. I am sad to be calling it quits but I have agreed to volunteer when my kids go to school (not for another year thankfully) so I hopefully will be able to see lots and lots of multiples through out the next year.
Take care and all the very best.
Louise
See you all soon.
This is a toddler group designed for families with multiple birth children.
When I first had my triplets I found myself very isolated from other multiple birth families in my area. Therefore this Group is to support parents/carers with multiple births.
There is quite a large number of families in the
The Group has been going since August 2005 and there are quite a number of 'regulars'. The Group is open all year round but please review the page ‘session dates’ to make sure of the dates it is on.
The Group is extremely friendly and there are plenty of toys for the children to play with and develop their skills.
There is tea and coffee including biscuits for the parents and juice and fruit/biscuits for the children.
The idea is that the parents get time to themselves whilst their children are munching on the fruit and juice. There are kitchen facilities where tea and coffee is on ‘tap’. This is where the parents disappear to for 10-15 minutes for adult conversation.
We have two paid creche staff (courtesy of Sure Start Bacup) on hand to help you with your little ones should you need assistance in any way.
The Group is open to everyone who has twins triplets or more under the age of 5.
It costs only £1.50 per family and there is plenty of parking.
I hope to see you then.
All the best
Louise McGuinness
