A. Choose one movement of Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony.
1. Awakening of cheerful feelings upon arriving in the country
2. Scene by the brook
3. Merry gathering of peasants
4. Tempest, storm
5. Shepherds’ hymn—Happy and thankful feelings after the storm
B. Put together a visual representation of this movement.
Format: Power Point or Slide Show, Video/Film, Collage, Book
Using images of art work that we have studied since September or
additional works by the artists covered.
Must use at least 25 images.
C. Written explanation of visual representation. Must answer the following questions?
1. Describe what comes to your mind when listening to the movement?
2. Discuss your overall visual concept for the movement?
3. Write on 5 of your image choices, indicating why you used them for that movement.
