We are a family dedicated to our dogs.
Mukluks was first established in 1991 with our first Alaskan Malamute, Sarla (CH Diomede Kang Oot CD). She was to change our lives for ever.
Sarla introduced us to the world of Showing, Obedience, Therapy Companions and Sledding.
Over the years our canine family has grown which prompted a move to a bigger property to cater for all. Thus the establishment of Mukluks Kennels.
In 2004 our beloved Sarla passed away at the age of 13 and a half. Shortly after we received a young Saluki into our lives to help heal our heart ache. Her name is Faith (CH Mauresque Autumn Orchid). The Bedouin believe that Salukis are a ‘Gift from Allah’ and Faith is truely a very special ‘gift’.
We also received our first Borzoi in 2004, a handsome snowy coloured young lad by the name of Iceman. An amazing gentle and graceful creature!
Of course we also value the special team that help ‘Mukluks’ function successfully.
Along with ourselves, they are Rowena, Heidi, Melissa, Lee and Louise who all handle and present our dogs for us.
