Tentative Itinerary

(To be finalized by June 1, 2007) 

Day 1— July 1 (Sun)—Departing Chicago-O’hare to Houston, Texas via Continental Airlines.

Day 2— July 2 (Mon)—Arrive in Caracas, Venezuela and check in to hotel.

               Visit Education Missions in Caracas including Mision Identitdad, Mision Vuelvan Carcas,

               Robinson, Sucre. Visit to clincs and other Health Service Missions.

Day 3—July 3 (Tues)—Private briefings by Author and Lawyer Eva Golinger “The Chavez Code”

              and Greg Wilpert, editor of  www.venezuelanalysis.com.

Day 4—July4 (Wed)—Travel to Puerto Cabello, Carabobo State. Settle in Hotel. Visit Communal

              Councils and one of the sites of the Peace Corps in the 60’s & 70’s. James Weldon Johnson

               was the ambassador to this sea port in 1906. Visit local schools.

Day 5—July 5 (Thurs)—Venezuelan Independence Day.  Visit to costal beaches, ports and general

              relaxation.

Day 6—July 6 (Fri)—Travel to Barlovento (Afro-Venezuelan Community).Briefing by Jesus Chucho-  

             Garcia and other members of Afro-Venezuelan network. Visit to a cocoa cooperative and learn how

             to make chocolate. Explore other businesses and agricultural endeavors.

Day 7—July 7 (Sat)—Delegate Conference featuring exchanges between US delegation and Venezuelan

             business people, educators and community organizers.

Day 8—July 8 (Sun)—Exploration of the religious and spiritual lives of the community residents.

Day 9—July 9 (Mon)—Travel to Yaracuy State. Visit and presentation at the cultural Community.

              Center “ANDRESOTE” created by the Afro-Venezuelan Network in 2005, Palmarejo, Yaracuy.

Day 10—July 10 (Tues)—Return to Caracas.  Meetings and sites tailored to group needs.

Day 11—July 11 (Wed)— Day of leisure for shopping and site seeing.  Final departure dinner with hosts.

Day 12—July 12 (Thurs)—Departure to the US.
