The Lord God through the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ has all the Powers to choose whom to anoint and places to shower His many blessings. Many have felt yet could not properly comprehend the message. Most of the time they are ignored and failed to acknowledge the Lord God. Such blessings are savored wastefully with arrogance and disregard them in the righteous way to share to the less fortunate.
“To those whom much is given; much is expected.”

The Blessed Virgin was chosen to be the Mother of Jesus Christ. With that great honor, She has shown the virtues of obedience and humility and lived up a very simple way of life; the number one follower of Her Son Jesus Christ. How blessful She is to be taken to Heaven by the Angels both body and soul.
A Bible was laid opened over the casket of Pope John Paul II during the requiem mass at the
Deep in my heart I silently uttered while making the Sign of the Cross, “Farewell Pope John Paul II. Your parting is Blessed from Heaven above to rest peacefully. You are the sole instrument that declared the healing through St. Faustina by advocating the devotion to the Divine Mercy. You, too, had recognized the virtuous deeds of Mother Theresa of
1992
Some minor miracles were also felt by Sister Rebecca Ortiz of the Covenant of the Holy Spirit Troop organized by Rev. Fr. Teofilo Rustia, a former Chaplain at
She was surprised to see that the house they’ll stay in is the house she had seen in her dream. The following day, they bathed in
They were introduced to the Barangay Youths led by Bro. Boots Cardano Jr., who was the guitarist and had taken priesthood. Unfortunately, he was indulged in drinking liquor and taking drugs; then with women. Incidentally, the Matanda of Centro Catolico, Illuminado Santos got sick. They said he is mentally deranged. He had been submitted to various treatment but could not be cured. It was only through Sister Rebecca and companion manifestations that he regained normal control of himself. He revealed his past activities as Matanda when he was told that mss would no longer be celebrated in Buyo as the people don’t come to attend masses. That was a great blunder on him that disturbed him so much.
Before he got sick, he had been attending seminars and Bible study through the initiative of Msgr. Ping Molina. His efforts to bring his flocks in the Barangay was futile inspite that no other religious sect is entertained in the place yet he could hardly control some vices in that place that he prayed to the Lord to send some one a minister “sugo” in their place. Then he got sick and could not remember any occurrence.
It was then that Sister Rebecca requested that the chapel be opened. She felt that the chapel is already inhabited by evil spirits. She noticed that the Image of the Blessed Mother’s hand is missing. She was informed that whenever the Matanda got mad, that is the place where he would stay. So they managed to use the Chapel for their Charismatic services where they taught songs to praise the Lord God. It was very encouraging that the Chapel had been filled with people both young and old who were eager to learn.
This was reported to Msgr. Ping and at the same time to inform him of their Mission in the Healing of the Family Tree. It surprised her to see that many had collapsed as they were prayed over. Many were talking in different languages/dialects. Their gifts were spoken by them where she obtained the message. That it is in that place where Jesus will make His covenant on them when He ascended to Heaven where He uttered, “Don’t leave Jerusalem until my coming back. My Spirit will be with you.” The Chapel was filled with solemn brightness as if there is also the sound of falls inside that many are partaking in drinking the water. Others bathed and were healed.
She got the message from the Blessed Mother as they prayed the Holy Rosary. But not to reveal the place until the Holy Spirit guide them. As she walked the following morning in front of the mountain near the river, she saw the birds flew inside the cave where a seeming white path could be seen. There was also the tree with wide leaves. She recalled that she had already seen that tree in her dream. Many things happened that she prayed again for guidance of the Holy Spirit to have clear idea and mission.
With Bro. Boots, they brought the Blessed Mother from the Chapel to the Rocky Hill. There she clothed the Blessed Mother with Missing Hand nine wide leaves of that tree which they called “lubi-lubi”. Then they prayed the Holy Rosary, with the intention that they might obtain a message from the Blessed Mother. Then it was there that the term Mt. Miraculous was coined. She obtained the message how the Blessed Mother suffered the pains symbolizing Her Missing Hand leading people to be righteous; to save the people of Virac more so the folks in Buyo from floods, earthquake and landslide. They leave that message to the people thinking that they might not return.
In 1992, she returned with Ma. Angela and Angelito, her children, for Bro. Boots requested them to come. She brought with them Holy Bibles, Rosaries and clothes for the indigents for spiritual guidance. They initiated the healing and counseling.
A woman named Theresa of Bato who was then residing in Manila was incidentally in Buyo said that her aspirations were granted through the Blessed Mother of Mt. Miraculous and St. Anthony of Padua who is the Patron Saint in Buyo. It was on the Holy Week that she had a vision of the White Cross. It was a beautiful tree like a big fan. In the afternoon, many people came in line. She prayed over the water. Some of them were already known to her and they have objects with them. Melchor has a stone, Kakay with stick and Biday made a White Cross. They brought then up the mountain in the event when the Passion of Christ is being read. They installed the White Cross as a guardian symbol against earthquakes and to save the people from nature’s wraths.
Then brothers David and Bienvenido Pante, who own the lot where Mt. Miraculous was situated, volunteered that the Cross be made of iron. Barangays Tubaon and Simamla volunteered each thus there were already three Crosses installed at Mt. Miraculous. This is a simple way which they associate with the message of Yahweh to Abraham to give his son Isaac as an offering to God for which a ram was used to replace him. With their faith in God through the Blessed Mother, they agreed that they will have a prayer service at Mt. Miraculous every first Saturday of the month with the intention that all of the faithful all over the world be saved most of all the Filipinos.
Her ambitious missionary gesture was put to test. In 1994, she requested Msgr. Ping to invite Rev. Fr. Teofilo Rustia to see for himself the development of her mission. Despite his reluctance, he yielded to her request. It discouraged her that Rev. Fr. Rustia did not come. It was her elder in mission, Sis. Pilar Duque and an American named Dough who came. This infuriated the Msgr. due to the preparations made for Rev. Fr. Rustia at the Fiat. He was embarrassed due to the full support given to him by the faithful in Virac. This could not be hidden from her elder guest. It also caused doubts on her personality despite that many were healed. There were even doubts that many were possessed by evil spirits. She was even reprimanded by her elder, Sis. Pilar, in front of many people. Even her husband sided with them and majority turned against her. Having all those troubles, she just kept silent and decided to transfer other place with her children for she does not want to argue, more so that another Elder in their troop was already ordered to take her place. They had sumptuous Welcome Party for the Elder. Sister Rebecca knew that there were still few who sympathized with her that made her strong.
Sister Rebecca went back to Manila in 1995. The negative reports of Sis. Pilar were known before she arrived. Yet she has full trust in God through the Blessed Mother Mary about the truth. She humbly worked through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. That time, she was sent to Bacolod; then to Iloilo, Antique, and other places. The priest and some of her co-workers were impressed of her performance. They want her not to leave the place. Once, a radio commentator wanted her to be part of the radio program on the Healing of the Family Tree.
It was fortunate that while she was in Bacolod, she was about to talk to her aunt on her feeling about the Healing of the Family Tree which covered both the living and deceased close members or relatives of the family. The possible messages conveyed by each member. That was aired internationally through her aunt of Bacolod Diocese where she too savored spiritual learning other than her Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Teofilo Rustia.
She was advised to return to Buyo in 1996. She initiated fund raising through Carolings. Through that fund raising, they were able to start the construction of the Chapel with the assistance of some philanthropic individuals in Virac. This construction of the Chapel at Mt. Miraculous encountered again conflicts from others who were jealous of the funding. They had forgotten the teachings that what is given for the Lord by the right hand must not be known by the left hand. This practice is very much required of the NEO groups in Virac. However, this caused her again to leave the place and went to Manila. There she had known that many were possessed caused by evil deeds. Typhoon is only one of their failures in the struggle of life. Typhoon Rosing was the hardest that hit the whole province of Catanduanes. Others said that much civic activities were given due importance neglecting their spiritual concerns. Some of those who were prosperous in other places neglected their relatives in Catanduanes much more to those missionaries like them.
In 1999, she organized a cooperative, a practical way to help solve economic crisis. This type of venture just the same did not prosper in the place. Their only source of income was through lumber which is unlawful for it destroys nature. Corruption cannot be stopped as reported to the provincial chief of the Department of Trade and Industry, Mr. Ireneo Panti. This, too, discouraged her from requesting assistance from his office.
Again there was flood that was caused by another typhoon that destructed the improvements done at Mt. Miraculous. Sis. Anita and Bro. Miguel accompanied her to solicit assistance from Mrs. Lily Co and her family members and from other parishioners who had been so generous. Her guest from Manila assisted her in the Mission of Healing the Family Tree in the improvement of the Center at Mt. Miraculous. Again there was conflict as other gestures were illegal. She was passive about it for her focus was only to carry out their mission. She prayed for the guidance of the Holy Spirit through the Blessed Mother.
In the year 2000 in Manila, the founder of the Saint Paul Church, Mommy Acadia was her guest. Sister Rebecca gave her a sort of souvenir and told her that she has a strong third eye. Before parting, both agreed to have constant communication through cell phones and tried to convey their messages from the Blessed Mother. During the Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Teofilo Rustia, he also conducted the Healing of the Family Tree. Sister Arcadia has also known more about it and also her husband who was about to return to Virac after that length of time who was eager to come along with them. He took charge for their financial expenses for their trip. But he was too old to travel so it was just Sis. Arcadia who was able to come along with her who incidentally was known to Bishop Manolo de los Santos of Virac. They, too, visited Msgr. Ping Molina. Before returning to Manila, she collected stones, flowers and other souvenirs.
Finally in year 2001, Fr. Teofilo Rustia was able to visit Virac. Incidentally, he was not able to bring his vestments for the celebration of the Eucharist. Luckily, it was the nun at Paradise Resort at Palawig who made the efforts to borrow from Msgr. Ping Molina. His arrival at the Chapel of St. Anthony de Padua with four women who will conduct a Healing of the Family Tree was a bit surprise to the barangay so few had attended. It was the people from the Poblacion of Virac who attended that filled up the Chapel.
In his Homily, he mentioned that his coming is through the inspiration of God which he will heartily share to those who were present. But the expectation of many that he will go up to Mt. Miraculous did not materialize. This again caused another blunder to Sis. Rebecca. Rev. Fr.Rustia returned to Manila the following day for an important appointment.
In 2002, her mission would be in Manila, Bacolod and Davao Mining Corp. Her intention of carrying out her mission did not again materialize. Those in-charged opposed the natural practices of the natives in mining. The machines were destroyed. Her mission was again a failure which required her to leave that place in September 17. She had been pondering and recalled the time her husband returned from abroad and their grand and presumptuous preparation for the baptism of their son which could be more than a celebration for a wedding. Had we been too arrogant and had forgotten others and spent luxuriously and unwise?
In 2003, she returned to Virac accompanied by another priest as visitor. It was Valentine’s Day and many were at Mt. Miraculous. There was a party with an American and a Japanese couple. She was expecting to assist in the Healing but she was there only as an observer. Fortunately, she was invited to join the group to go to Bosdak resort by the owner. To her surprise, that Japanese owner of the resort is not a believer. He hated rosaries and lighting of the candles. He got mad at Rosalie and Rolando Estacio. Through the power of prayers, he did not pursue throwing bottles to the group and just calmed down. Mrs. Nimfa Santiago and Mrs. Josefina Tablizo had been earnestly praying. She then included in her prayers their intentions whatever is it yet she did not forget her pleadings to the Lord that they may be the instrument to help her mission. How she sacrificed she believed could not be hidden from the Lord who knows everything and the minds of everyone. Mt. Miraculous is her most concern.
Many times she decided to leave Virac and just stay in Manila thinking that those who will be left behind will pursue her mission at Mt. Miraculous Yet there is a strong force that held her to stay. Is that the message of the Blessed Mother?
2004
In 2004, her mother who had been long dead appeared to her, saying that she should come to Bacolod to be with her father on his birthday. She did. Her respect to her parents is a driving force. There, at the comfort room, she saw a glittering stone which reminded her of the sign given by fairies of earthly treasures. She pondered where she could it be found. Could it be in Bacolod or in Virac? Once her aunt told her of the stone she nurtured was the lead for the outlet for treasure hunting. That coincided with the 1st day of the Novena prayer for the Blessed Mother of Candelaria in Jaro, Iloilo. She took the plane to catch up with the activities which she believed was the message in her dream.
“Obey the Lord, be humble and you’ll get richness; honor and long life” Proverbs 22-4.
She felt delighted knowing that the Blessed Mother used people as instruments to spread the Teachings of God.
It was in Barangay Sulong, Alemodian, where her mother was born from Cayetana and Basilio. They said that they lighted candles in the ground after their ancestor died three times then had survived for a long time. It is in the occurrence that the they identified their sister Rebecca to carry the mission of the Blessed Mother; thus, they called her Sis. Vicky. However, she informed their relatives in Bacolod who are concerned with treasure hunting that her mission is for the message of the Blessed Mother. Various trials took place. One among them has fallen from the roof of their house in Valenzuela. She was then advised to leave.
With Mommy Ting, an elder from Bulacan Parish came with her to Virac. That was Sept. 8, a day of the Blessed Mother. Here, they prayed peacefully in the morning, noon, and evening. At times, the folks in Barangay Buyo would come to join them in praying. Mommy Ting was so inspired with her mission in Virac. She is brave to be left alone in Mt. Miraculous. Later, they went to Naga City where one of the members of the Healing Ministry of Valenzuela, Sis. Bing Abobacar with daughters and Ma. Angela who was left to be with her.
They returned to Virac for the celebration of the Blessed Mother of Fatima. The devotion was carried as usual by the people of Buyo with the school youths both from the elementary and secondary schools. This time, she was the lone missionary where she was saddled with all the tasks required. She longed when to meet a possible writer to help her carry the message of her mission.
2005
In November 2, 2005, she felt the need to come home. Her granddaughter will give birth to another son. The third from Victor and Daniel whom they consider as gifts from Valenzuela. She offered symbolic money of the Lord and Living Stones to the guests and others in the hospital during the baptism of the child. She had to divide her time for her children so that no one will be offended. By this, she must spend her Christmas and New Year in Virac with her son, Joselito, who was married to a Viracnon but working as a seaman.
She was very positive that she will be able to pursue her mission in Virac in the Healing of Family Tree with the support of her husband. She made it known to all of her family members that her mission must be inculcated in their minds and to pursue them, too. The simple thought of belonging to their family and loving one another despite that they are scattered in different places.
2006
Upon arrival at Mt. Miraculous in January 15, 2006, in deep somber mood, she offered herself to the Blessed Mother with the pledge to accept her mission willingly whatever it would be. The lot where the Mt. Miraculous is located is owned by Sir Bebot and Mam Amy Panti. They suggested to her husband to the care taker. It was a blessing they considered through the Blessed Mother. More than that, they were registered as residents of Buyo by the barangay captain, and also as members of the Senior Citizen. They were dedicated peasants of the land owner.
But the conflicts of the military and the NPA in the nearby barangays had caused them much worry. It is only the strong faith in God that they will be saved. The couples, Cris and Ma. Fe, with their three children assisted them on their mission. Incidentally, she came across with the Arcilla Clan through Bishop Manolo de los Santos which was a gift she considered. She read through the pages and has seen the name of Mrs. Estrella Placides as a clan member. She humbly approached her requesting an assistance of the possibility of writing her biography related to the mission on the healing of the family tree which could trace possible misfortune like illness or accidents could be avoided. She declined as she is too busy with her current work related to her profession.
During the feast in Pandan, she made all the possibilities to attend despite that to her, it’s an expedition for not knowing the place neither someone to be with. Luckily, she encountered Rev. Fr. Rama who was a brother-in-law of Mam Amy. He was sick and one suggested that they need to pray over on his behalf. There he mentioned to him about Mt. Miraculous. He also mentioned that he had been already in Manila for a treatment.
Since she has with her living stones, she was pondering whom to give them who will give them due importance. She gave the Mayor who is also a member of the Charismatic group. Of course, Sis. Vicky won’t forget to mention Mt. Miraculous and its healing center in Buyo, Virac, Catanduanes.
On their way back from Pandan, she noticed the risky road for the travelers, much more if it would be dark or raining. Having strong faith in God, she prayed hard that they’d be safe along the way. She also prayed to the Lord God that the road projects be effectively carried out.
It was during All Saint’s Day that she prayed for signs that she would know someone or a writer who would help her. She had seen a vision, a woman as she prayed to the Blessed Sacrament. She mentioned it to persons then it was Mrs. Josefina Tablizo who suggested that she should go to Mrs. Juana A. Gianan to request for assistance. Then it was Fernan Gianan of the Catanduanes Tribune whom she talked with. Despite their willingness to assist her, they could not be sure if they could do it as they too are short of staff to carry on their weekly publication that, at time, instead of the usual Wednesday weekly distribution it could be Thursday. She prayed hard that at least on her birthday will be the realization of her wish. That her life activities be written to let people know that the Blessed Mother and the Holy Spirit are alive and are eagerly willing to save the people on the selected promised land by God. She thought the person she approached is the one whom the Holy Spirit has chosen being related to the special people which the Blessed Mother has used as instruments. By them, she found the real person who would do the actual work in writing her biography.
She believes that she was chosen by the Holy Spirit to be one of the instruments to spread the Good News of Salvation all over the world including Virac, Catanduanes.
