CCG maker 1.6 Review

I have found this cool program called the CCG maker that makes it easier than ever to make your own Magic the gathering cards.

The CCG maker's newest version adds support for 8th edition style card templates, as well as many new improvements and features. It's just flat out the best magic card maker out there. With the low price of $10 for the full registered version, and  a free demo version that still allows the creation and printing out of all versions of green cards, it's definatly worth checking out.

Although the CCG maker does not initially come with the actual " Magic the Gathering" material like card templates and mana (because of legal reasons I'm sure), you can easily import them into the program. I've compiled a list of templates myself that include template styles from Invasions, Tempest, Alpha, Foils, Tokens, and 8TH edition. Along with the card frames and mana symbols, I also included all the expansion symbols from every set. You can get these by downloading the file MTG.dat at the bottom on the page.

To import the file MTG.dat into the CCG maker, dowload  the CCG maker at ccgmaker.com, then run the ccg maker and click on the FILE menu and then click on Import , then select the MTG.dat file from your hard drive. This will import all the Magic Stuff you'll need.

  • download MTG.dat for version 1.6 of the CCG maker
