 Mean while enjoy reading about my life and current status of my career.

My dad was responsible for the music bug biting me .

 He would play his albums near my crib and sing the songs to me and he said at the early age of 6mths to ao a year I learned fast.

 I start creative wrting in english class , with that I just start writing in every form .

Poems , short stories .

 My teacher loved them and at the end of the week she would have us all read our stories and she pulled me to the side one day and said , " mary I can't tell you enough how much I look foward to your stories - they are very advanced to be only coming from a middle school girl". 

 I took that as a good sign because Ms. Dwight was very well spoken and a great teacher who seemed very calm and comfortable in her teaching job.

She inspired me  to keep writing and never be afraid to expand my creativity to the limit , and I have . I hope your proud Ms. Dwight .

My life was always a turbulent one .

 Do not get me wrong , I have had good times in my life and career ,but there was a dark period in my life that is still stinging my heart till this day - and that is the loss of my mother .

 Life was somewhat normal till one day when she was having a routine doctor's check and she asked me to go with her .

I did even though I was still sleepy from a nap.

When we got to the doctor's ofice he sat us down - told her that everything was normal- except her blood count - mind you she had sickle cell anemia - so that was not of the unsorted to hear .

 He then went on to say It's not hte Anemeia , there is a disease a blood cancer rather and it is not new it's been

 around for a while , but we are statred to see more cases of it in the US. The doctor then said that she had  tested positive for HIV .

The doctor then went on to say that it turns to Aids ... and that this diesease was fatal, and she had 10 to 15 years to live - so she should start living her life to the fullest and in a couple years start saying her goodbye's ..could you imagine that start saying her goodbye's .

 My mom just had this look on her face as if she had just been told some news that was just too much to calculate right now and she would ponder more on it later.

Although she was a very strange calm also , so calm that I calmed down like okay , maybe she know's more about this than I do .

We left that doctors office and from then on we never really talked about it .

Every once in a while but not alot.

 You see people when you see those movies where they are counting down till the day that person pasess , it is so true.

 The count down is murder because their health deterioates  right in front of your eye's . I mean the worst things that  I couldnt describe to you , without breaking down extremely.

I took care of her for the most part - while recording and touring. It was very hard but I knew she would want it that way .

For me to keep going because I always promised her a house or mercedes , but all I could give her in the end was peace .

I had a dream about her , as I often do , and she told me not to stop she said ' your music don't stop. And she looked at me and smiled , and from that day on I have been like a speeding bullet , with my career.

Since then I have taken my mom's matriarch position over in our family , I a raising three brothers and one sister, three granchildren , four if you count My daughter too.

I am holding it down for her , I have been homelessand stranded deserted , left for dead and presumed a failure - but as you can see Im not, and will never be because I will never stop .

As far as Im concerned I made it . God see's and my mother is looking down at me and saying job well done .
