The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

I loved this book.  It is about a china rabbit named Edward Tulane, who was owned by a girl named Abilene. He is very pleased with his life. Edward loved his owner. Then one day he got lost... The rabbit went from family to family and loved each one, but he loved Abilene the best. You follow the journey of Edward and you might shed a tear or two along the way!

Because of Winn Dixie

This book is about a girl who finds a dog at a supermarket.  The girl names the dog Winn Dixie.  The dog is dirty and there is no one to care for him.  The girl keeps the dog, and he becomes her best friend.  This book was funny, and I couldn't put it down.  This is a great book for both boys and girls.

Alabama Moon 

by Watt Key

I like this book because it is about a ten year old boy who lives in the forest with his dad.  When his dad dies, he becomes a ward of the state and finds himself in a juvenile detention center.  He plans to bust out with his friends Kit and Hal.  The rest -- you'll have to read.  I recommend this book for boys and girls.

The Trumpet of the Swan is a very good book about a swan named Louis,  who has no voice.  He lives a happy life, except that he is in love!  His father steals a trumpet for him to play.  Will Louis get enough money to pay for his trumpet?  Will Louis marry his true love?  Find out --- in The Trumpet of the Swan!  Boys and girls will both enjoy this humorous story.

This book is very funny.  It is about a girl who lives in Villa Vikulla.  She has pets.  One is a horse and a monkey named Mr. Nilsson.  This book would be fun for both girls and boys.

Riding Freedom

by Pam Ryan

In the beginning of the book, a little girl named Charlotte is dropped off at an orphanage.  The woman in charge of the orphanage was mean, and made Charlotte do all the chores.  Charlotte cut off her hair and she put on boy's clothes to try to hide.  She found a stable and she worked there all day, so that she could sleep there at night.  When she grew up, people still thought she was a boy.  She had to make a living, so she became a coachman.  She did that for the rest of her life.   This is a great book for girls and boys.

I like this book because it is funny, exciting, and interesting.  this book is so good, that you won't want to put it down.  It is about a girl who feels unimportnat and forgotten.  she changes her name and tries to act differently.  If you wnat a good bood, read this one!

This book would be of interest to girls.

The 7 Professors of the Far North

 by John Fardell

 

This book is about three kids who rescue their uncle and his friends from an evil professor.  the evil professor is trying to take over the world, using a new species.  I really like this book because it is full of adventure and is very funny.  This book is a good pick for boys and girls.

The Totally Made-up Civil War Diary of Amanda MacLeish

Amanda, a fifth grader,  has many problems in life with her cat, her parents, and her friends.  She makes-up her Civil War diary, a class assignment, about a girl named Polly whose world is also falling apart because her brothers are fighting on opposite sides in the war.

This was a good book that I wasn't able to stop reading. I think it is a book that most girls would really love to read!

The Ghost's Grave

This book was about a kid named Josh  who goes to his aunt's house for the summer and meets a ghost of a coal miner killed in a mine explosion.  The ghost has been waiting years for someone to dig up his leg and rebury it with the rest of him.  Then he will rest in peace.  Josh helps him out.  I liked this book because the detail is great!  Read it, you will love it!  This is a super book for boys!

Waggit's Tale

by Peter Howe

 

This book is about a dog named Waggit who gets abandoned.  A team of dogs living in the park find him and take him in.  He learns how to hunt and makes friends.  He has many adventures like...you have to find out!  I couldn't stop reading it!  This is a great book for boys and girls!

Thank You Lucky Stars

This book is about two girls who were best friends, and then are not best friends anymore.  I really liked this book because I could relate to it.  It is like things that have happened in my life.  This is a good book for girls in the class.

Cryptid Hunters

by Roland Smith

Cryptid Hunters is about two twins, Grace and Marty.  Their parents die in a car crash, and they are forced to live with an uncle they didn't know they had.  Their uncle has to go to Congo, to look for mythical creatures, so he sends them to boarding school.  The twins eventually get to the Congo themselves - you'll have to read to find out how and what happens to them.  Both boys and girls would really love this book.

I liked this book because it involves Greek mythology.  Many battles happen and there are a lot of battles.  I thought that your should read this book first.  This book would be good for both boys and girls.

This book is an amazing book about the Crusaders and their battles.  It's a great book for those who like books about the Middle Ages.  Beware -- the sequel , Green Jasper,  is mushy and romantic!  This book would be of most interest to boys.

Molly Moon series

by Georgia Byng

This series is very interesting.  It's about a girl with hypnotic powers.  She is an orphan who's best is a boy named Rocky.  They have exciting adventures together.  Everyone does she says if she hypnotizes them.  This is a book that girls would probably enjoy more.

This is a truly amazing book that boys will really enjoy!  This is part of a great series.
