aka "The '08 Stupid Project"
For some stupid reason, I decided that for the 2008 baseball season, I would try to obtain a pocket schedule--more accurately, two pocket schedules--from every team in baseball. Yes, I know--it's stupid.
The original "Stupid Project" involved making four custom McFarlane figures for Redsfest in December 2007. I decided to make figures of the four guys who played for the Dayton Dragons in 2007 and were also scheduled to be at Redsfest--Todd Frazier, Drew Stubbs, Justin Turner, and Chris Valaika. Making the figures by itself didn't make this a stupid project. The fact that I decided to make all four of them THREE WEEKS before Redsfest makes even me question my sanity. (It usually takes me 4-6 weeks to make ONE figure, let alone four.)
Anyway, I don't usually trade autographs or send autograph requests through the mail, so I thought this would be something that would get me contacting different teams and trading with people I normally would not. I also have been taking large stacks of schedules every time I go to a baseball or hockey game, so I have a huge amount of trade bait.
