It has Heidenhien scales, and a NUM 1060 CNC control.
The machine was used mostly for threading and finish work.

1st Question: Any problem nesting offline?
The burning machine is stand alone also. It has it's on macro's and basic programming built into it's on memory bank.
So, there should be no problem with nesting offline. The operator can run the machine and nest as he wants as long
as he stays within the parameter of the sheet size.
2nd & 3rd Question: Do you program offline? Software used for programming offline?
Yes we program offline. We have actually used (2) different software's with the burning machine.
First Software: SDS (Shop Data Systems)
Second Software: Currently use SigmaNest.
Both software's have there on built-in macros for parts and they both allow the person to import and export parts from
several drawing programs mainly a *.dxf file (drawing exchange format). We draw using AutoCad and usually export the
various parts that we use for fabrication into a dxf format and import in software. Then we use the software to nest to
the sheet size specified then download to the burning machine computer. We print a burn sheet and hand off to burning
machine operator who then uploads the program number from main server that is shown on the print out sheet and cuts
the parts.

This Lathe is being offered as a "LATHE PROJECT", or a "RETRO FIT CANDIDATE".
Although all the parts are here, this lathe is not being offered as a complete machine, at this time.
There are several ways this machine can be re assembled for use.
This Headstock fits the bed sections in these photos.
The US Government ordered this Headstock built for boring and turning large gun barrels.
After construction and acceptance testing,
the program was cancelled, and the headstock remained "Un-Used".
