im back in ky now, M3 hasnt practiced since ive been back but we'll hopefully be doing so very soon and working on some new songs, the song i mentioned before that was recorded for the comp that exotic fever is doing is unfortunatly not going to be on to the comp..due to some problems with the master getting lost in the mail and not getting to the label in time for the deadline, were all really bummed out this had to happen but the comp looks to be really amazing and im still super excited about it coming out..the future of the song written for the comp is uncertain at this point. theres a good chance the song along with another, will be on the split 7" were doing with our friends D'Amore from Philadelphia..ill hopefully have more info about that soon. future plans for M3 include recording another song for the split with 7" as mentioned as well as recording a song for the Men Against Sexism Comp that Anti Matter Press is doing. as far as any other releases go its all still up in the air at this point, the other comp we were doing was cancelled as was the split lp with the walls youve built...so if anyone for some reason feels like doing a vinyl version of our ep..lemme know!..as far as shows go, weve been asked to play Diy Fest in Whitesburgh,KY on Novemeber 19th, so we'll be doing that and ive been talking with In Tongues about us doing a couple weekend jaunts together sometime in October...nothing set in stone at the moment. i suppose thats all for now.(maybe if i can "convince" josh and james, we can do a week or so in Dec) One last thing i want to mention though...our friends Del Cielo have recently decided to call it quits and are playing their last show on September 23rd, and i just wanted to mention how sad i am to see them go and how honored i am personally to have gotten to play with and become friends with such amazing/inspiring people and musicians, it's so sad to think ill never get to hear those songs again...you all will be greatly missed!!..okay that's all
Love,
Micah

ya know what's crazy?..its been 11 years since Kurt Cobain died. man, thats a long time...anywho, Movement Three recorded our song for the Empower Program Benefit Comp on March 27th and were all really happy with how it turned out to be such a rush job at our practice space. hopefully we'll be able to get an mp3 of it up soon, this weekend im helping James move all our equipment as well as all of his recording equipment to an apt which will become his studip as well our new practice space, im pretty excited as it means we'll finally get a chance to work on new material and record it for the splits and whatnot.in other m3 news....the cdep is finally very very close to having the real version done, i got the proofs for the cover from Bredan Campbell from Sinaloa who did the art for us, now all that has to be done is ordering the screens and ink and screening all the sleeves...im hoping to get em all done by mid may before i move...okay thats all for now
take care

As you can tell from the photos this was a rather labor intensive job to do on the covers.First, we bought bulk pieces of fabric remnants then had James V screen the cover design on them. Then, we cut the fabric down..sewed down the edges, turned the fabric inside outside then sewed it half..then turned it rightside out and sewed down the middle to create a fabric gatefold sleeve. We then glued large pieces of purple courdaroy onto cardboard boxes then cut those down to a 5"x5" square on which the cd would sit inside the right side of the gatefold. Then we printed and numbered the booklets on normal white paper and vellum. Then we had the cdrs professionaly manufactured by Musicians Friend and when they arrived James V screenprinted the tops of them with a special sign ink that doesnt wear off. We Then cut 50 1" strips of thin sheet metal and took them to an army surplus store and had "MOVEMENT THREE" pressed into each of them with a dogtag machine, those strips were then folded over and stapled on the backside to create a metal band that held the entire package together. When all was said and done we sold the cdrs on our 2003 Tour on a sliding scale of $3-$5
