Free Computer Courses:
Computer training courses are being planned for the C@P Site at the Mount Uniacke Library. One-on-one and group training will be available. Group course topics will depend on demand. One-on-one courses can be taught on a variety of subjects.
If you need help with:
- Computer basics (for beginners)
- Creating posters, brochures, fliers, resumes, business cards, etc.
- Using Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) or other computer programs
- Using E-mail, instant messaging, webcams, and social utility sites
- Using the internet
- Building your own business or personal website
- Digital photography, photo editing, sharing photos over the internet
- Or anything else...

This summer, there will be courses depending on demand. There are one-on-one courses or group courses, which ever you perfer according to the amount of people signed up!
July 20th - Introduction to the Computer (3:00-5:00)
July 27th - Introduction to the Internet (3:00-5:00)
August 3rd - Is Your Child Safe on the Internet? (3:00-5:00)
August 10th - Introduction to Facebook (3:00-5:00)
August 17th - Microsoft Office and Powerpoint (3:00-5:00)

What is a C@P Site?
The Community Access Program (C@P) is a Government of Canada initiative, administered by Industry Canada, which aims to provide Canadians with public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively.
C@P Sites provide internet service, computer support and training in computer programs.
C@P Sites are located in many cities, towns and communities across Canada. Many C@P sites are located in schools, community centers, or libraries, but they may be found in any public place.
What can the Mount Uniacke C@P Site do for me?
Anytime the The Mount Uniacke Public Library is open, you can use the C@P Site to gain internet access.
You can use our computer to type up a resume, print off a document, check your email, surf the web, use instant messenger... anything you need!
We have a CD burner, copier, fax, printer and scanner for the public to use.
If you have any questions, or need assistance feel free to ask the C@P Summer Youth Intern for help!
One-on-one session are available, for help with computer and internet use, design and development of flyers, business cards, email, posters and much more! To inquire contact Jill at 866-0124.
What does it cost to use the C@P Site?
Internet access and the use of computer programs is FREE!
There is a small cost for printing documents:
