Dear sweet little Ceilidh,
She lived four months and a day.
Without a doubt a bonnie wee lass,
She sadly slipped away.
A dear sweet little angel,
Her heart sang a merry tune.
I wonder why she had to get
Her heavenly wings so soon.
That little cuddly bundle of joy
Had so much love to give.
It breaks my heart that she has gone,
She had so much life to live.
Now she's gone to share the sky
With other departed treasures.
A puppy rainbow they will build
To remind us of their pleasures.
God, bless them all, the little dears,
Please take such very good care.
Free from fear, they’re now with you,
But are always in my prayers.
Each time I see a rainbow
A warm glow its rays shall bring,
To touch that rainbow in my heart,
Where my fondest memories cling.
