We want to express our thanks to the Monday Nite Car Club for all they do in support of our mission statement, that helps provide scholarships to graduating students that are living and attending school in the Mountain Empire region. A wonderful partnership has formed between our two clubs which has led to many successful Car Shows over the past few years. With our efforts in helping to put on last yearís Run to the Hills Car Show, we were presented with a generous donation in support of our annual scholarship fund! We had a great time helping and look forward to doing it all again May 18th when the 11th Annual Run to the Hills Car Show comes roaring into town for what is expected to be the biggest and best show yet.
In addition to the support the MNCC provides for us, they promote, foster, and encourage activities that improve the quality of life of children and youth in not just in the back country, but throughout San Diego County as well as assisting existing charitable organizations that help those in need and at risk in San Diego County. They also promote, foster, and encourage the programs or activities at local public schools.

This year we were able to raise and give back over $25,000 in the form of academic scholarships and monetary donations to athletic programs. This was made possible through hard work and our efforts to present several fund raising events throughout the year.
As I am sure you aware, in these tough economic times, money in the form of scholarships can go a long way. Our organization believes in promoting continued education and also providing financial support to athletic programs. We feel this is invaluable as school athletic budgets have been severely cut in recent times.
This is why we are asking for your help and support in 2013. My letter is to graciously ask for a donation for our upcoming Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner and Silent Auction to be held on June 28th 2013. An item suitable as an auction item, raffle prize, gift certificate or any other donation would be greatly appreciated.

The MEMC was originally formed back in 1969 to benefit the students of the backcountry by awarding college scholarships to our local high school seniors. Through the years the club has expanded its mission not only by providing scholarships, but to the aiding the back country community as well as the Mountain Empire School District. This is accomplished through monetary and time donations to educational and sports programs, households in need, and by providing community events such as the Annual Christmas Dinner for seniors and Santa House, which includes FREE pictures with Santa. The club also provides and hangs the Christmas lights across the streets of Pine Valley and Descanso, offers glow sticks on Halloween and helps to keep our freeway roadside clean by adopting a stretch of I-8. (You can help there by not allowing trash to blow out of your vehicles)
This year, the club was able to award $20,000 in scholarships to 22 of our local college bound high school seniors. That is $20,000 of your support towards MEMC fund raisers throughout the year, which include Casino Night, the Annual Scholarship Dinner / Silent Auction, the Run to the Hills Car Show, Pancake Breakfasts, and Pine Valley Days. So again, THANK YOU for your support!
This year, thanks to the awesome support from all of you at Pine Valley Days and our other fundraisers, the MEMC was able to award MEHS students with $20,000 in scholarships this year!!! We would like to congratulate those students who received MEMC scholarships this year. Those students are:
