Five days from Christmas, and here's my gift to you: Exigency is back in action. After a brief hiatus, things are starting up again and some serious work has begun. I almost wish I could give you guys a demo as a nice little holiday or new year's gift, but that will have to wait! Have a happy holiday and all that politically correct bullshit! |

Hey guys. MoUAC: Exigency is officially on hiatus at the moment. Life is pretty turbulent right now, but I'll be getting right back into it come late December. Sorry for the bad news, but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day and other crappy cliché excuses!
However, to tide you over until then, I present to you my latest musical work: 8-bit Philharmonic. Click Here. Enjoy and let me know what you think! Be sure to add me if you're on Myspace. |

Made some nice changes to the "Features" page so it is no longer written by my (less professional) younger self from when this page was created. Damn it's been a long time working on this thing... Also changed the title bar.
It is soon, my friends, that you will bear witness to

It's 3 AM in the morning. This is the dedication I put into MoUAC.
So, MoUAC needs a logo, and YOU could design it! Check out this forum thread for all the info on what to do. I cannot accept a final logo until all the entries are in. I'll be waiting about 2 weeks.
All of the current entries so far are displayed prominently on the "Media" page, so check them out! It will be updated as more are added!
In other news, I have been doing tons of work on MoUAC. It lives, oh it lives. Rest assured Exigency will see the light of day. |

Three things, super-quick:
1.) I'm no longer using the e-mail address nperrin (AT) rsgc.on.ca anymore. It's so ridiculously overclogged with junk mail that chances are, your email will get deleted along with the new wave of it that comes every day. Send to the new email, found on the Credits page to the left. That will ensure a response.
2.) MoUAC is still alive. The project is not dead, and there is no hype for many good reasons. Be happy!
3.) I just updated my other site, and if you're into cool stuff, then check it out: Nick Perrin's Site (Opens in new window)
Thank you, that will be all! I'll keep you updated, but do NOT expect any new hype until I am near a release. That means even just SCREENSHOTS will not be updated until Exigency (Episode 1) is near completion. |
| June 10, 2007 |
MoUAC: Exigency is now in hardcore-development-mode. This means that I have more time to work on Exigency and a lot is getting done. Learning from the mistakes of the KDiZD team, I am not going to hype the project anymore until a final product is near completion. Sorry to say, but don't expect any screens or videos anytime soon. Be sure, though, that the next time you see a new screen or maybe even a final trailer, Exigency will be unleashed soon.
(Also, fixed news item below, directs to Media page for teaser trailer, formerly Screenshots page) |
| May 17, 2007 |
MoUAC: Exigency now has a teaser trailer available for your viewing pleasure. Check it out on the Media page. I put extra emphasis on "teaser" ! It hardly shows ANYTHING of the project. Please, on the guestbook let me know what you think if you haven't already seen this and commented on the EDGE or DoomWorld forums!
The song playing during the trailer is an original piece made for the MoUAC project. ALL FOOTAGE IS IN-GAME, even the beginning titles. Except for the grainy film effect at the very end, the WHOLE video is in-game. |

OFFICAL TITLE OF EPISODE ONE ANNOUNCED:
MoUAC: Exigency
Just be prepared for one of the greatest Doom experiences in modern times. There will be a total of five (5) episodes, with the slightest possibility of a prequel to the first episode. |

Hey once again! The Marines of UAC project is going strong once again with more ambitious goals than ever. There have been two new additions to the Marines of UAC team, so expect this mod to arrive sooner. More news on that later. In the meantime, more screenshots are being worked on to be put up. Stay tuned for some exciting things happening with this mod! |

The Marines of UAC website has now had its 1000th visitor since April 7th, 2005! Thanks for all the support everyone. I'll keep this mod and site alive for the next 1000. |

GOOD NEWS! The Marines of UAC EDGE weapons mod has been updated to version 1.1 and re-released under the name "The Soldier's Stockpile"! (This ensures no name conflicts with the new mod). GRAB IT ON THE FILES PAGE NOW! THAT'S AN ORDER!
This mod will also appear in Doomworld's Newstuff this week or next week, so grab it there if the download is too slow here. (UPDATE: It is in newstuff now. The link to the idgames archive page for it is provided on the files page.)
This version is more playable and the cheesy story elements have been removed, not to mention a new ORIGINAL song has been added. Leave me your comments in the guestbook about it, and if you want me to get back to you, e-mail me instead.
Enjoy, and happy Dooming! |

I saw the doom movie (this is late news, as I saw it the day it came
out in Canada). Go see it. Whether you love it or hate, you have
to see it if you are at this page right now(because it means you like
doom more than the average person).
Trailer: http://movies.apple.com/movies/universal/doom/doom-tlr5_h.480.mov
Progress on MoUAC? Slow. But I am working on getting inspired (IE
playing good first person shooters) and working on it a lot more soon.

Hey folks. I didn't like where the mod was going. So I'm starting the
maps AGAIN. But this time I have planned more of it, and anyway the
bulk of the work has been in the props, enemies, weapons, sounds, and
tweaking of the entire experience. I'm really trying to touch on every
aspect of the game EDGE and DooM can offer to make this mod excellent
in all respects.
I haven't worked on it in a while due to laziness/lack of interest.
But, that was mainly because I was heading the mod in the wrong way
(map/story - wise). I figured out that whatever is fun to play, is fun
to make. So I was making a boring part and I want the whole damn
episode to be fun and engaging! So the delay is worth it.
Besides, I was working so slowly, and now I have a plan and interest
again. I will probably release a demo when I have 2-3 chapters done, so
people don't lose interest or think the mod is dead. I'm really proud
of my work, and like the guy below I like to have made and controlled
basically 100%
of the mod except for help from others with maps. So you will see this
doom mod exactly as I have always wanted to see doom mods.
Stay tuned! Thanks for the comments! Don't expect really fast progress,
as I have school! And 420puffpuff, you can't download it yet.
I recommend staying tuned to the doom community but not hyper-attentive
to this mod, because you will be waiting very long. Don't worry, I WILL
MAKE SURE THAT ANY RELEASES RELATING TO THIS MOD RECEIVE LARGE AMOUNTS
OF COVERAGE ON DOOM SITES AND IN THE FORUMS. You will know when I've
finished and released something.
Long post! Thanks again! |

A new page to this site has been added: the 'Files' page. Here you can
find some stuff I released a long time ago for EDGE, or stuff I never
released before. I might even upload the old Marines of UAC soon (the
EDGE weapons mod of 2002), so if you liked that mod it will be
available again. Enjoy.

OKAY. MoUAC has been enhanced hardcore with new effects and more
intense gameplay. Also, the maps have been rebuilt from the beginning
so I could take the mod in a different direction. You now start on
earth as a marine stationed in the desert.
Anyway, screenshots will be updated, but more will come.
Stay tuned! I can't access WIP from my computer anymore, so if you want
info on this project this is the place to find it, and feel free to
e-mail me.

Hello! MoUAC is proving to be hard to make, what with the large amount
of detail, scripting, and extrafloors!! So, as a warning, this mod will
probably take a very long time to finish, considering I want to make it
worth quite a few hours of play. I will release a demo sometime soon,
with a special demo mission that is not part of the Marines of UAC
episode, just to show what the gameplay and maps will be like in the
final release(I mean, no one wants to have to play from the beginning
again if they've already played the demo, so the demo should be
different).
That's all for now!

| First Update! October 26th 2004 |
This is the new Marines of UAC website! This mod has nothing to do with
my previous work, an EDGE weapons mod called Marines of UAC, which
has been renamed and is a completely separate project from this one. I
just wanted to use the name Marines of UAC. Just to clear the confusion
and the ramblings saying "Oh yeah, that weapons mod where like all the guns
are like CS-like and like, repetetive, and like, yeah like."
Anyway, its now a full-fledged single-player episode based off the
gameplay and story-driven style of Half-Life, but the story has nothing to
do with Half-Life nor does it feature any
Half-Life monsters, weapons etc.
It will feature the original Doom
episodes, including Doom 2 and Final Doom
playable from the episode
select menu where you can use the new weapons
in normal doom games. It also
features and optional visit to Boot Camp for
training, and of course
the episode itself, featuring a scripted intro, and a fun
single-player
experience chock-full of scripted sequences and cool characters,
and some
butt-kickin' weapons(all in the regular doom style, no 3d crap!).
So stay tuned... More to come... like some screenshots...
