8/1/2009 - #33-Ron Hornaday Jr. continues to make history in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series by picking up his fifth win a row when he took the checkers for the Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. This was Hornaday's first win at Nashville, his sixth win this season, and 45th overall in the series.
7/24/2009 - Hornaday wins at ORP; makes it four in a row: A battle to the finish with #5-Mike Skinner, but in the end #33-Ron Hornaday Jr. took the checkers first to pick up a record-breaking win in the AAA Insurance 200 at O'Reilly Raceway Park. It was the 44th career win for Hornaday; his fifth this season and he became the first driver to win four in a row in the Camping World Truck Series. #5-Mike Skinner was second.
7/18/2009 - #33 Ron Hornaday Jr. made it (3) Three in a row with another win at Kentucky.Ron Started on the Pole but dropped back during the race but came on strong at the end to winthe race. Having won the race in 2006, he became the first repeat winner. And, by winning from the pole position, Hornaday snapped what had been a surprising phenomenon—no Kentucky winner had won from the front row.
6/26/2009 - #33- Ron Hornaday Jr. won the MemphisTravel.com 200 at Memphis Motorsports Park. This was Hornaday's second win in a row and 42nd series career win.
6/20/2009 - #33-Ron Hornaday Jr. celebrated his birthday in dominant fashion, leading 180 laps, to pick up his second win at Milwaukee and also for the season in the Copart 200 at The Milwaukee Mile. It is his 41st NCWTS win.
6/19/2009 - Rain will postpone the race at Milwaukee.
6/13/2009 - #6-Colin Braun won the Michigan 200 at Michigan Int'l Speedway. This is Brauns first NCWTS win in 35 starts. This is also the 50th win for Roush Fenway Racing. Kyle Busch lost another race after leading the most laps.
6/10/2009 - Red Horse Racing regretfully announces the closure of the #1 Toyota Tundra driven by Johnny Benson. The decision is effective immediately. Red Horse Racing worked to secure sponsorship for the #1 team since last December but has been unsuccessful in doing so. " Sponsorship for Benson was thought to be secure before the season began but the economic downturn kept that sponsor from being able to participate with Red Horse Racing. Benson has competed in eight events behind the wheel of the #1. He and the team have earned four top-10 finishes including a fourth place finish at Texas Motor Speedway .
6/5/2009 - Todd Bodine became the first Camping World Truck Series driver to win five times at Texas Motor Speedway, beating Matt Crafton in the WinStar World Casino 400. Crafton overtook the points lead with his runner-up finish. He leads Ron Hornaday by 30 points. #13-Johnny Sauter was the fastest qualifier with a speed of 179.485 mph to win the pole for the WinStar World Casino 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. This was his first series pole.
6/3/2009 - #16-Brian Scott opted not to pit on the final caution, and hung onto the lead for the final eleven laps to pick up the win for the AAA Insurance 200 at Dover Int'l Speedway. This is Scott's first series win in 39 starts.

5/15/2009 - Ron Hornaday picked up the win in the NC Education Lottery 200 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. This was his second win at Lowe's and his 40th career win in the Camping World Truck Series.#33-Ron Hornaday Jr. with 966 points took the lead in the driver point standings.
5/15/2009 -On lap #35, #5-Mike Skinner got turned around at Lowes, got up into the wall hard, was hit at the same time by #11-TJ Bell, sending Skinner on his side.He got out of the truck without an injury.
4/27/2009 - The rain brought out the red-flag to halt the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway. The trucks were not able to get back on track and race leader #5-Mike Skinner was declared the winner; his 26th series win.
4/25/2009 - #33-Ron Hornaday Jr. won the Keystone Light Pole Award for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 with a lap of 168.329 mph.
4/24/2009 - #16-Brian Scott, once again, had the fastest speed at 165.664 mph to lead the final practice session for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Kansas Speedway.
4/11/2009 - MB Motorsports is pleased to announce that Ben Stancill will pilot the #63 Ford F-150 NASCAR Camping World Truck, campaigned by the veteran MB Motorsports team, in the "O'Reilly Auto Parts 250" NCWTS race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday April 25th, 2009. This will be the first of 7 scheduled events in 2009 for the MB Motorsports Team with Stancill at the wheel.
4/11/2009 - JJ Yeley is set to drive the # 73 Chevy truck for Tagsby Racing owners Joey Sonntag and Ron Crosby. County Building Centers and Circle M Inspections are to be on the truck for 12 races. Additional sponsors are coming; crew chief to be announced soon. Tagsby Racing purchased trucks from Gaughan Racing (Michael and Brandon). All pit Equipment and race hauler was purchased from them as well. Motors are from Kevin Troyer Racing Engines. The team just built a brand new 10,000 sq. ft. shop in Ardmore, Ok and plans to make their first start at Kansas Speedway.
3/30/2009 - #2-Kevin Harvick held the lead to win the Kroger 250, his first truck win at Martinsville; fourth series win. Teammate, #33-Ron Hornaday Jr. finished second.
3/28/2009 - The drivers to watch at Martinsville are Rick Crawford,Kyle Busch,Kevin Harvick,Ron Hornaday,Johnny Benson,Matt Crafton,Mike Skinner,Todd Bodine,Tim Peters,Colin Braun.
3/28/2009 - Due to persistent rain in the Martinsville, Virginia area, the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway has been postponed until Monday, March 30, 2009 at 12:00 Noon Eastern and will be broadcast on SPEED/tv.
3/28/2009 - #14-Rick Crawford was the fastest qualifier with a speed of 94.737 mph to win the pole for the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway.
3/7/2009 - On a restart with less than 8 laps remaining, #51-Kyle Busch took the green with no second or third gear, lost several positions, but managed to fight his way back to the lead to finish just ahead of second place-finisher #2-Kevin Harvick. This is second win for Busch in 2009; his fourth win in five starts at AMS.Kyles truck is the winingest truck in the series.
3/6/2009 - Kyle Busch may be the new owner of the #51 Toyota Truck as he has ben talking to Billy Bellew about buying this team. Kyle likes the idea of being a team owner and this team fits him to a "T". BBM has had sponsorship problems in the past but with Kyle that want be a problem.Kyle may buy both the BBM Teams.
2/21/2009 - Pole-sitter #51-Kyle Busch dominated over the field at Auto Club Speedway to win the San Bernardino 200. Busch led all but two of the green flag laps to pick up his second victory in a row in California.There were 4 lead changes among 3 drivers and 2 cautions for 8 laps.#51-Kyle Busch is now on top of the driver point standings with 370, just five points ahead of second place #30-Todd Bodine. Rounding out the top five are; #88-Matt Crafton, #17-Timothy Peters, #33-Ron Hornaday Jr.
2/14/2009 - Todd Bodine won the 1st race of the season in the unsponsored #30 Germain Racing Toyota.# 6 Colin Braun was on the Pole.

Johnny Benson won the 2008 CTS Championship: Benson finished 7th, Ron Hornaday finished 8th making Benson the 2008 Champion at Homestead.

The teams are getting better and better in this series. A few years ago only about 5 teams could win races in this series and only about 2 or 3 teams could win a championship.
