Mothra is a lepidopteran. She goes through a four stage life cycle. She is born from a giant egg that has blue and yellow stripes interlaced with white spots. She then hatches into a brown rather ugly larvae. She will then spin a cocoon. She later emerges in her adult form. In her adult form she has black and yellow wings with orange eye spots at the top edge of her upper wings and red and black lower wings. She has glowing blue eyes and white fur often with orange stripes on her abdomen. Her antenae are long and covered in fur. Mothra leo's adult form looked much different then the past mothras. Mothra leo's wings were green and red his eyes glowed green. His antenae were long and feathery. Mothra leo's transformations had different looks as well. Rainbow mothra's wings were as the name suggests rainbow colored with in rebirth of mothra 3 sapphire eyes. Aqua mothra's wings had become fins with patterns that resembled rainbow mothra's. Aqua mothra's eyes were blue and has a more sleek body with no visable legs. Light speed mothra resembled aqua mothra only the four fins had grown longer and had a different patterns light speed mothra's body was designed for speed. Armor mothra's body and wings were encased in armor giving him a menacing look. Eternal mothra had the same wing pattern as armor mothra only with out the armor. The GMK mothra looked really different. Mothra's eyes were purple and had long insect legs. It had slicked back antenae it's wings had the normal pattern but with a splash of purple. Mothra is a kind and benevolent creature when not provoked. Mothra is different from other monters in the way that she fights for humanity and the earth. The only time mothra intentionally attacked humanity was in 1961 when her fairies were kidnapped and she destroyed many cities to get to them. Mothra and her fairies live on a tiny island in the south pacific called Infant Island. There she is worshiped as a goddess representing both love and renewal. Mothra is also very peaceful and prefers to not get involved in conflict however she often has use force to repel her enemies. If her shobijin are captured or threatened even the normally calm and passive goddess will become angry and violent, many cities across the globe have been destroyed by mothra just for the act of people exploiting the shobijin for their own personal gain. Aside from her rampages to retrieve the shobijin if captured, she is a very approachable kaiju that often answers the prayers of people, mainly her own people and the shobijin that live on Infant Island, but as been known to fulfill requests of non natives of her island, such as if asked by people for protection against rampaging kaiju such as godzilla.
