There have been a lot of stories in the media lately concerning fathers who feel hard done by over child contact.
Mothers are frequently vilified and accused of preventing fathers from seeing their children. We are led to believe that it is the mothers’ fault that these fathers are angry.
There is another side to this story.
It is not always the mothers who frustrate contact. Many of these fathers were divorced because of their bullying and abusive behaviour.
And the abuse does not stop after divorce.
In many cases, it is not the mother who frustrates contact, but the father, who continues the abusive and controlling behaviour that led to divorce in the first place.
