MY POETRY from the book
Painting with Love, I wrote this poem for my fascination with animal art, animals that can paint. Yes, Elephants can paint beautiful pictures. I have a friend at Novica.com. I enjoy this website, as an Artist myself, Novica.com helps artists around the world and this includes Elephants from Asia. The Elephants paint pictures to help care for them and their trainers. I wanted to help spread the word for Novica it is a good cause and I love animals.
Native American Poetry: Painted Face under the Midnight Moon, The Raven's Cry, I have Lived a Thousand Years, and Elements of Happiness. Painted Face is a poem that I wrote about the moon and a certain animal that is mischievous, read the poem and find out what animal I am talking about: The Dakota tribe calls this creature: "One with the painted face." The Ravens Cry is a poem that is a true experience that happened to me and my son, it is unbelievable but very true. I Have Lived a Thousand Years I wrote this poem, because I grew up traveling with my parents to Northern California visiting my Grandfather and the Redwoods are part of me no matter where I live.
Poems that I wrote after my Divorce: The Mighty Palm Trees, I wrote this for everyone that has experienced a divorce. "How the wicked wind thrust blows to your crown." this is an inspiration poem that shows in the end a Palm tree's Glory is her or his Crown and that he/she can survive the wind. Old Window, is all the pain that a window sees, however the window can't do anything about it, but once you decide that it is time to stand up to the situation and get out of it, time to celebrate.
The Emperor's Red Rose, I wrote this because it is about all the Ancient Inventors of the Jomon Period and later. The Chinese, Japanese Inventors that have invented great things. Many inventions, wonder and possibly secrets that were lost and may never be told or found. I have done research and find it fascinating about the ancient cultures world wide that had some interesting inventions that we have today.
A Long Day's Hike, I wrote this poem, because my Mom and I walked in the forest at Mendocino Botanical Gardens in California, it was a beautiful hike.
