You don't need someone to hold the baby and show the baby "real
love". You don't need someone telling you to go away and leave them with the
baby. You don't need someone to critique you on your housekeeping skills and
then mention how they did it better.
You need someone to be there for YOU. Someone who
understands the need to be with your new child – whether it is just napping
with them. Here's where I step in.I help in mothering you.
Services:
- Provide postpartum care for the mother - I will answer
questions as best as I can. (Remember, I do not perform clinical tasks or
diagnose medical conditions or administer medication!) I can give you a break
if you need, holding your child while you do the important things – like shower!
- Light housekeeping - I am more
than willing to do your baby's laundry including their clothes and bedding. I
can also prepare simple meals and do basic kitchen clean up. I can also provide
resources for local businesses who provide housekeeping services.
- I can provide techniques for how to soothe your child - from massage to swaddling to babywearing.
- Older siblings – I am more than
willing to give special attention to your older children while you have
one-on-one time with your newborn; I am also able to watch your newborn while
you pay special attention to your older child.
- Older infants - I have experience working with children who
will not take a bottle. I also have experience working with newborns and using
alternative feeding methods.
Hourly rate ~$18.00
