This chapter in Redwall history is several seasons past the deaths of Rakkety Tam and his friends. Redwall Abbey, Mossflower woods, and Salamandastron all stand strong. Redwall has a new Abbot, Abbot Woodruff, Lady Bluestripe the Just (Named for Bluestripe the Wild), leads Salamandastron and its hares. And a new evil has cast a shadow over the good woodlanders-a weasel, Morta, The Queen of the Eastern Shores. Supposedly so beautiful none of her subjects can look upon her.
