Finally, the Street Sale video is up. Alas, Justin couldn't join me, since he was working all day. But, I did find Jess, and eventually my girlfriend, so all was well.

This year's video may not have footage as good as last year's, but, if I do say so myself, the editing is better. Thankfully we no longer have to deal with Justin's retarded version of Windows Movie Maker.

We hope to be able to put more videos out in the near future, as Justin's summer classes lighten up in a short while. Remember, if you want to let us know what you think of our stuff, or if you have ideas for future videos, let us know at moronswithcameras (at) gmail (dot) com. And of course, musicians are always encouraged to send us music to use!

New Duelin' Fools! This one was a bit of a pain to make, we had to work around the kids who were also using the park. From now on, we're doing these things at night, or in the middle of the day when the only kids around are short and young enough to listen when you ask them to wait a few minutes.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with 12-year-olds? When I was twelve, I would not have DARED mouth off to two guys larger than me who were swinging around a pair of ski poles and a wooden cane. I blame the media.

I blame the schools.

Don't forget to check out the store! And click those Google Ads down there.

May 31, 2007 11:18PM

Oh my god, this episode of Banana! took way too long to finish editing. My brother was supposed to supply some light music for the credits, but he didn't get around to doing it, so you get my sexy made-for-radio voice instead.

If you're interested in submitting music to us (that you own the copyright to), send a sample to moronswithcameras(AT)gmail(dot)com.

On a much brighter note, this Sunday is the Aurora Yonge Street Sale! If you saw our video from last year, you know how much fun it is. If you're in the area and you hit the sale, say hi to us if you see us. We'll surely be doing something to attract attention.

This is what happens when my Internet connection fails.
April 8, 2007 11:54 AM
New fun with Stalin and Lenin! Yeah, my Internet was down most of yesterday, so I booted up The Movies. A few hours later, I had this movie and a mysteriously functioning Internet connection. Strange.... Anyhoo, enjoy!

...CHECK OUT THE STORE.

Oh! There's TWO of them!
March 12, 2007

Yup, double update. We've got a new segment now, Dueling Fools, in which Joel and I pick out "weapons," tweak them however we want, and then duel with them at a park we found. It was pretty fun to film, all in all. Ze first episode can be found nyaw.

We also have a fun little movie of a painting on fire. Wheeeeeeee!

Go to the store! Since we set it up a year ago, we have made exactly two dollars in sales. At least take a look. If not for me, then for the childrens. And by the childrens, I mean me.

Post by Joel @ 2:06PM Feb 27, 2007

So Justin's forays in The Movies have produced this little gem:

How Hitler Saved Christmas

He says the "wow" line at the end is him, but come on, his character is reading. Why would he say "wow"? It makes more sense my way, damnit! MWAHAHA!

Ahem. Enjoy.

It's Winter-een-mas! In celebration, Justin and I are making three videos. Number one is up: Mmm, nostalgia.

More soon!

Edit by Joel @ 12AM Feb 1, 2007

Parts two and three are up!

Neopets sucks

MwC Fighting Game

And just in time for the end of WEMas! Happy WEMas, everyone!

Cover your shame! Er, desktop shame.
Update! 11:45 PM, January 12 2007

Whoo! Wallpapers! Only three so far, but I like how they turned out. Also, Joel should be uploading a quick little thing I made in The Movies to YouTube ANY MINUTE NOW *grrrrr* so you've got that to amuse thyselves with.

But yeah, so I haven't updated much lately, mostly it's been Joel. Didja miss me? Huh? Did you? Yeah, I know you did. That's enough, I feel your love.

EDIT by Joel:

Just uploaded the new MORONS IN SPACE Preview. Enjoy!

HAPPY NOW, JUSTIN? HAPPY NOW?!?

EDIT AGAIN!

Yes. Yes I am.

Anyhoo, yes, Morons In Space. An idea we've been kicking around for quite a while, and I'm psyched that we can finally do it! One aspect that didn't make it into the preview is that parts of it are going to be live-action, sort of like the Super Mario Brothers Super Show, but jsut because there are parts of MIS we can't recreate in The Movies, and parts that we can ONLY do in The Movies. So yeah, pretty psyched.

Also, Morons With Cameras will soon be celebrating it's one-year anniversary. We're very much open to suggestions for what we should do.

Virtual MwC!
Post by Joel @ 1:53AM December 29, 2006

Justin received The Movies for Christmas. What this means is that we can update the site with videos of stuff we'd never be able to film otherwise. Like, oh, I don't know, Morons in Space? Ooooh, foreshadowing.
Enjoy!

Hello out there!

Edit by Joel @ 12:23AM January 3, 2007

A new Movies video! A day out!

Just... just don't ask.

Moving more stuff is teh fun
Post by Joel, 11:45 PM, November 11

I just moved the last four videos still on Putfile over to YouTube. Thank god for the 100Mb limit. The four vids were a Cap'n Trevor episode, Ze Alligator Song, outtakes from the original CD, and Wisdom from the Guru. Go check 'em out if you haven't seen them yet.

And please, if you have a YouTube account, please subscribe to our channel. It just helps us get our name out more with the more people we have as subscribers. Show your friends, comment, send us feedback!

We have some advertising money coming in soon, so we'll be giving away free buttons. If you're in the Toronto or York Region area and you want one, watch this space for details!

Animooted goodness!

Wise ol' update
Post by Joel @9:00 PM December 3, 2006

A new Wisdom from the Guru is up, after having not seen him for so long. Coming soon: Banana, episode two! We're revisiting the ones we haven't recorded for a while.

But then I go and make that bunk, because Justin and I still have to record a new Cap'n Trevor's Adventures we have written.

I'm not a liar! I swear!

We are not dead yet!
Post by Justin, 10:33 PM, October 24

Yeah, it's been a while since we updated. Sorry botu that, it's been a btich to get together and film anything. But fear not, for our Google Ads money has surpassed $100, so once we get our check we shall acquire something that will hopefully make it possible to have more frequent updates without this kind of trouble.

Anyhoo, yes, during the sumemr we went to something called the Yonge Street Sale in Aurora, got some pictures and video, and threw together a movie for you. It was good practise for interviewing; we intend to ahve mroe Out and Aboot segments in the future.

EDIT by Justin, 11:57, October 26

Joel and I went to the Ontario Science Centre today, and put together yet another movie for you lucky folks! It's in the Archive, check it out!

Alas, the shorts, they are no more
Post by Justin, 12:14 PM, September 4, 2006

So there I was, reading http://vgcats.com/, and on his newspost for today, there it was: Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, is dead. A 20-centimeter stingray barb through the heart, the poor guy.

(Full story here: http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20349888-2,00.html)

In other news, Joel is back form Edmonton, so we'll be able to get back to filming soon.

RIP, Steve-o.

PS: Speaking of animals, some of you may have noticed some pro-animal-rights stuff popping up in our Google ads. We're working on fixing it so they stop appearing; in the meantime, jsut don't click on those particular ads.

We make your internets delicious!
Post by Joel and Justin @ 3:05AM, August 1, 2006

Seriously. We do. So hard.

New content! Check the video archives for two new Cap'n Trevor and a video response to Hope is Emo, made by the Ask a Ninja guys.

And our pants are superior to your pants.

Who ya gonna call?
Post by Joel @ 3:05 July 16, 2006

Us! I just set up a voicemail for MwC, so you can call us with ideas, comments, sexual propositions, whatever your heart desires! If and when we get enough good messages, we'll make a video playing the best of the best!

Here's the video with the number: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAZp4_SU_N4

Also, we have a new contest! We got a new puppet at Goodwill. Come up with a personality for him and win... something!
Here's the vid showing the puppet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF39t-xr0CI

And, once again, join the forum! It's too dead right now! It's not fun talking to ourselves!

No worries, folks.
Post by Justin @ 1:46 PM July 11, 2006

The updates, they are a-coming, don't you worry. We're still getting used to this whole "providing people with entertainment" thing. Anyhoo, just though I'd let you all know that I will be taking a little trip to Quebec with my parents, so anyone out there who recognizes me between the 18th and the 22nd or 23rd, come on over, say hi, we'll get a picture, it'll be fun.

YouTube fun
Post by Joel @ 11PM June 29

As you all may well know, I've moved most of the videos over to YouTube. But what you may NOT know is that I make my own videos as well. Some MwC-related, some not. Here are a few:

Vec introduces the MwC puppets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8RlSR6M_BY
More puppet time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sucSwOy5ol4
I'm the Banana, bitch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgLWZC71VZY

If you have a YouTube account, feel free to add me as a friend. Also, subscribe to the Morons with Cameras account (http://youtube.com/user/MoronswithCameras). More subscribers means more publicity.

Enjoy the videos! Buy our merch! Join our forum!

Dang, it's hot outside
Post by Justin @ 5:30 PM June 15

Yeah, that thing I said a while ago about new content? LIES! Between job-hunting and other stuff, we've both been fairly busy, but soon my exams shall be done and summer shall begin! And then you get more funny stuff. In the meantime, I dunno, check out the forum and store?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and both of us have birthdays coming up too! The big one-nine, coming up in 14 days for me and a month later for Joel. Know what'd be a great present? Publicity! Or buy yourself something from the store. Or hug us if you see us on the street.

Moving's a bitch
Post by Joel @ 11:46PM June 3, 2006

I've moved most of the videos over to YouTube. Three didn't work: Cap'n Trevor's Adventures - The fridge is not a prison for winter; Wisdom of the Guru; and Ze Alligator Song. I'll work on that later, but for now they stay on Putfile.

Don't forget about the awesome merch in the store. Also, please, people, join the forum. Tell us what you think. You do not want to see a ninja beg.

New project coming up!
Post by Justin @ 8:45AM May 29, 2006

Dammit, I just spilled chocolate milk on my keyboard. Well, considering all the Pepsi that's in there, I should be glad it still works at all.

Anyhoo, just figured I'd give you guys a little progress report. I've been rolling an idea around in my head for a week or two, and last night I actually buckled down and started writing the pilot/teaser episode for it. This series is gonna be a little different, not AS centered on the comedy, but if we can pull it off right it'll still be awesome.

The other thing is this new series, beyond the pilot, will be available for sale on disc. We're not sure yet how much we'll put them out for, or how much material will be on each disc, but we're working on it.

If all goes well, expect to see the pilot and maybe another Guru sketch in a week or two.

Moving to YouTube
Post by Joel @ 9:23PM May 23, 2006

I've been totally obsessed with YouTube over the past few days, and have made a few discoveries. Apparently, YouTube's file limit is 100MBs, PER VIDEO. Putfile is only 25MB. Plus, the community there is a HELL of a lot better.

Therefore, as soon as I possibly can, we are switching over to YouTube. I'll be uploading the videos over the next little while, as I don't have all of them here on my computer. The ones I do have will go up. I'll fix the two newest Cap'n Trevor episodes, as the video seems to be skipping a lot for several people.

This may be the dawn of a new era for MwC. Hopefully this'll be good.

Wow, an update so soon!
Post by Joel @ 3:26PM May 15, 2006

New Cap'n Trevor videos are up: "The fridge is not a prison for winter" and "The TV is not a crystal ball."

Also, two fun little videos are up: Ze Alligator's improv song, and the Easily Distracted Lion being freaked out by me playing with camera graphic settings.

Enjoy!

CAP'N NEW CONTENT
Post by Joel @ 7:47PM May 6, 2006

New content! Huzzah! I added a new Video Game Life Moments. This time, Justin plays Legend of Zelda.

I also put up a set of bloopers from filming the first Cap'n Trevor's Adventures. Apparently I have in me the capacity to explode into laughter at any moment.

I WOULD be putting up another CTA episode, but it appears that the footage is on our other tape. Which is back at my apartment. And I'm at my parents' house, where our editing is done.

In the next little while, a new promotional video will be up on Google Videos. We're hoping it'll bring new traffic. If any of you want a good way to introduce friends to MwC, this ad is excellent.

CAP'N EDIT: I put the commercial on YouTube, as well: http://youtube.com/watch?v=IxUPFSo0fBo

We gonna rock down to Queen street and get recognized by a fan which is awesome
Post by Justin @ 11:28 PM May 3, 2006

On the heels of being recognized by an MwC fan yesterday (yes Dan, I am still riding the massive ego boost you provided me. I am a complete weiner), we once again have coupons to offer you folks! It's the same basic idea as before: Get someone you know, or someone you don't, to come to the site, watch the videos, let us know what they thought, and say "Oh, and so-and-so told me about it." Then we send you a coupon code for the MwC store, $5 off any order of $20 or more. "How will you send this to me," you ask? Well, you coooooooooooould join the forum.....

Yup, we're still alive
Post by Justin @ 11:01 PM April 24, 2006

Just posting to let you know that MwC is still alive and kicking. That and to remind you nice folks that Morons With Cameras is NOT ASSOCIATED WITH Morons Unleashed. We know them, but that's it. So when you see them making horribly racist and stupid videos, keep in mind that we try to discourage them.

Anyway.

The forums are so lifeless. C'mon people, tell folks about us! Please?

Oh, and our birthdays are a couple months away (Joel's the 29th of July, I'm the 29th of June. I'M OLDER HA HA!) so if you want to be extra-special awesome you can help us out and spread the word about us, maybe even get yourself something from the store. Thanks to the people who've bought stuff already!

Edit by Joel

Older, maybe. But I am, without a doubt, sexier.

Come on, people, buy stuff from the store. Even if you just buy the cheapest item (the button, I believe), we get the same profit ($1US per item). So you could by one t-shirt for $15.99 and we get a dollar. Or you could buy a couple of buttons for the same price, and we get several dollars. Up to you.

Spankin' new content
Post by Joel @ 11:20 PM April 14, 2006

The content from the second CD is now online. Check out the Video Archive for a new Stuffed Stuff Stuff, and three new sketches: Cap'n Trevor's Adventures, Video Game Life Moments, and Banana!.

Justin and I just got two more Cap'n Trevor episodes filmed earlier today, amongst eating and playing Burnout 3 and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Go us!

Remember, if you want to help us produce better content, you can support our "Get a new camera and computer" fund by going to the Store and purchasing our spanktacular merchandise. Justin and I bought a hoodie and bag, respectively, and they are awesome. You do not know what you're missing.

Edit by Justin @ 11:27 PM

The hoodie is like being hugged by a hundred squirrels. It's that comfy.

Morning everybody
Post by Justin @ 8:25 AM April 11, 2006

Not a lot to announce, me and Joel are just working on some new stuff, kicking scripts around, et cetera.

Anyone who didn't get the second CD (or at least the movie files from it) we'll be putting the movies up on the site by the end of the week, so never fear!

Still trying to save up cash for certain equipment we need that would eliminate the ned to schlepp all the way to Joel's parents' house to edit our footage; if you feel like helping out, you can always check the store :)

That's pretty much it for now.

New Contest
Post by Joel @ 11:33 PM March 29, 2006

Yay! Contest! The rules are simple: whoever refers the most people to our site before April 3, 2006 gets a coupon for $5 off any $35 purchase in our store! For a referral to qualify, the referred person must e-mail moronswithcameras@gmail.com before April 3rd and say "*your name*  at *your e-mail* referred me to this site."

We will notify the winner by the end of April 3rd, and announce the winner on April 4th. The coupon is good until April 5th.

Get referrin'!

CD the second
Post by Justin @ 8:11 AM March 24, 2006

Mornin', folks. Good news, the second advertising CD is now ready for distribution, we just have to actually get it out there. Speaking of the CD, thanks again to Miranda for sending us the MP3s we needed. Truly, she was the savior of our crispy pig strips.

Man. Pink Floyd rocks.

Da, there msut be revolution, and da, once in place the new rulers must step down, but since there will beink no crime, is not problem! Forsakink your "stores" and "individual property." To each as much as he needs, and from each as much as he can afford! Is only true way!

Help us out, folks!
Post by Justin @ 12:15 AM March 14, 2006

There are no health risks associated with eating two bowls of croutons, are there? Anyway, we've got an advertising banner on the Advertising page, if you want to be really really nice and link to us. Also, if you plan to check out the Store *cough, cough* we've also got an ad for the Cafepress Affiliate program.

Aren't we nice? Putting the ads all on one page so they don't clutter everything else up?

If you're interested, all proceeds from the store go towards MwC-related costs, such as buying our own camera!

Phase 2 - March 5, 2006
We refilmed Stuffed Stuff... Stuff on Friday, and it looks a lot better. We used old puppets of mine that were both easily manipulated and so old and generic that they probably aren't copyrighted. The video is on Putfile (click the Videos link to the right).

The forum is up, aptly titled Morons with Forums. You can click the Forum link to the right, or go to http://www.moronswithforums.net.tc.

To do:
Create more items for the store (if you have a design you want to see on a t-shirt, e-mail us at moronswithcameras@gmail.com)
Tweak the forum, rules, different sections, etc.
Look for webhosting that can handle more traffic than Freewebs.

Phase 1.5 - March 2, 2006
The following clips are now online at http://www.putfile.com/moronswithcameras:

Wisdom of the Guru
Old Crap Road Trip
Comical Communism

Still to come: Stuffed Stuff... Stuff

We're refilming SSS tomorrow, as we believe it could be done better. More dynamic camera angles and such. Those of you that have a CD, consider that an "original print" version.

Don't forget to check out our online store, now with a new hat featuring chibis of yours truly. The store should be updated by Saturday with new items.

Phase 1 Launch: February 27, 2006
Hey, welcome to the future home of Morons With Cameras! Right now this is just a placeholder until we get a REAL website running.

Who are we, you ask? Well, the two of us (Joel and Justin) are jsut a couple of ordinary guys with a weird sense of humour and a camera, and we figured we'd try to break into the world of online comedy. So here we are!

Right now we're still testing our audience. We have CDs circulating now with our pilot episode, which has a few short clips on it. If you've already got one, please e-mail us your feedback at moronswithcameras@gmail.com. If you don't have one, don't worry, we make more every week, and soon we'll have the clips from the pilot available on the Internet as well, hopefully within the next four or five days.

The full site, once it's up and running, will have:
- Longer videos
- Pictures
- Funny stories
- Reviews
- A forum, and more!

We've also got a store running, just a few T-shirts for now, come check it out at www.cafepress.com/moronswcameras.

So keep checking back, we'll hopefully have some updates for you soon! Once we get the real site done, the URL moronswithcameras.net.tc will link there instead of here, so don't worry about changing your bookmarks.
