Ilitch

Ilitch Thinks He can Win us Back?!?!

The Tigers have made lots of improvement over the summer, but when you root for them, please remember that Mike Ilitch ruined the entire sport of baseball for you and your children in the Michigan area. The entire Detroit area has had baseball ruined. Less kids play baseball. Who cares about hockey? I sure didn't until the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup. Think about this: The Tigers were a very good, respectable ball club when a Mr. Micheal Ilitch purchased them. October 10, 1992 is when Mike Ilitch bought the Tigers from the guy who owns Dominos. He quickly cut payroll, and ruined the sport for all youngsters in the Detroit area for the last 10 years. Maybe now they'll be better, but it better be a Yankees like dynasty if Ilitch wants to redeem himself for what he's ruined.

Mike Ilitch is a Dunderhead!

Well Detroit, the owner of the Detroit Red Wings, Mike Ilitch is doing a great job. Coupling his money with GM Ken Holland, the Wings have won 3 Stanley Cups since 1997. The Wings are America's hockey team and are the Yankees or the Lakers of the NHL. But in our cheers for the Red Wings, down the street, Mike Ilitch is leading a different team in a different stadium to an obvious death. If you haven't guessed, the Detroit Tigers hold the worst record in the entire sport. The defense is fine, but when it comes to offense, anything that moves, the Tigers can't hit. Ilitch's answer is to bring in the left field wall 20 feet. That helps oppenents more than anything else. "The Canyon", the space between the old and new walls in left field is where about 95% of all home runs to left go. The reason for no good players in Detroit is that the retarded hillbilly won't invest any of his money into the Tigers. The payroll is less than 1/3 of that of other teams in the league. Before the Ilitch era, the Tigers had players who actually could do things. As the money left the Tiger's budget, so did the players. Now out of the 1,000 fans a game who watch the Tigers, they make no noise and demoralize everyone in the entire park. When Clemens pitched at Comerica, looking for his historic win, the fans made noise and although the Tigers ultimately lost, they took the Yankees to 17 innings and got Clemens a no decision. Ilitch has transformed the Red Wings and the Tigers both, but the teams changed in completely different directions from each other. Also, has anyone noticed that downtown Detroit looks like the ghetto? Mike Ilitch isn't the whole reason, but the buildings he does own rot in his evil money. They aren't maintained and they sure as heck ain't used for anything useful. So cheer him for his efforts with the Red Wings if you will, but remember the other team on Woodward in the forgotten part of Detroit. The Detroit Tigers call for you to remove Mr. Ilitch the Dunderhead from his reign of terror at Comerica Park. So Illitch should sell the Tigers to someone who would make them good, and concentrate his efforts fully on the Red Wings, which he does already.  (article originally appeared @ http://www.freewebs.com/pistonsrule) (There used to be a picture here, but something didn't work rite.)

Ilitch Wanted to Tear Down Piece of History

The Madison-Lennox in Detroit is owned and certainly not operated by a notorious Mr. Ilitch. It is in disrepair because of his neglect, which he seems to do to everything he owns. He wanted to tear it down for a surface parking lot. Tisk tisk. Mr. Ilitch should be informed that there is plenty of other spaces to build this surface lot. No, not a garage, a surface lot. A few spaces. Fortunately for him, the building was saved thanks to pro Detroit activists. The pictures may not look that great, but the Lennox Hotel was very historic and sort of a landmark to Detroit. See the pix below (notice it needs more than a coat of paint since Ilitch won't give it one):

See the disrepair. Ilitch has owned this for a while, and has made no efforts to clean it up whatsoever.

The street view.

This might be cool if Ilitch didn't want to tear it down!
