Morning Mist Nubians and Boers

 I spent a couple of years reading up on soap making before taking the dive. Once I did, however, I found out just how fulfilling soap making can be! I started making large quantities of soaps in 2007. My sister has a business called Delightful Scents. She makes and sells Flameless Candles ("Smelly Jellies") and Soy Candles. Orders for her products can be made through me and the candles, along with any soaps you order, will be shipped together.

 I use the same basic recipe for every bar of soap. It includes Lard, Coconut Oil, Safflower Oil, Lye and, of course, goat's milk from our herd of goats. Most bars also have a Fragrance Oil in them. I use commercial dyes in the majority of bars. Some of the scents give a tint to the bars naturally. Usually bars that have a Vanilla content to the fragrance oil. Colorants are noted in the description and on the labels of bars. There are a couple of bars that contain no fragrances or colorants.

 Each batch of 42 bars is made by hand with each bar being hand cut. Due to making smaller batches; coloration, cut, and size does vary from batch to batch.

My bars average 3-4 ounces. I also make round soaps (around 3 ounces) and can make specialty small soaps as well.

Prices start at $3.00 per bar for your average 3-4 ounces and 4 bars for $10 (mix and match welcomed). If you order an entire batch - 42 normal bars (3-4 ounces) or 21 large bars(6-7 ounces)- you will receive a discount. I can also soap as few as 7 or 14 of one scent and coloration of your choice.

Current basic shipping costs are as follows- 

$2.05 for one bar; $2.70 for two bars; $3.25 for three bars; $4.95 for 4-8 bars and 9 bars or more will be determined after your order is placed. When ordering larger bars, rounds and specialty soaps, shipping costs may vary from what is listed above. Flat Rate boxes cost $10.35 and can fit as many as 40 bars in each box. A larger box is available for more as well. See below for pictures and some of the scents currently available.

 We accept Checks, Postal Money Orders, cash (at your own risk) and I am now set up to accept payments through Paypal. When using Paypal there may be a small additional fee added to your total.

If you are local, there are a couple of other options for soap pick-up. I can meet you locally to deliver your soap order. I also have a booth at SIBS located near the Ohio Valley Mall. SIBS is located next to JoAnn Fabrics where the old Hill's used to be.

 *~ Black Magic ~*

   Black magic is available in bars. I used food coloring to acheive the swirl seen above. The most recent batch of Black Magic has blue and purple swirls from colorants. Pictures to come soon.

 *~ Black Raspberries & Vanilla ~*

Black Raspberries & Vanilla is a wonderful scent. My new favorite! This bar is a beautiful blue with purple swirls.

*~ Blueberry Muffin ~*

Blueberry Muffin smells good enough to eat. The FO caused my pretty blue bars to turn a really dark brown with a greenish tint. There a few of these bars available.

*~ Butt Naked ~*

 A fruity smell with hints of spice. This bar is a dark brown color due to the Fragrance. No dyes used. Plenty in stock!

*~ Clove ~*

Clove is available in bars and rounds. The color comes from the fragrance oil. No dyes used. Some in stock. It is just wonderful!

Coconut is available in regular bars. The color comes from the Fragrance oil. No dyes used.

*~Creme Brulee~*

 Another bar that smells good enough to eat. Creme Brulee is available in bars.

Dragon's Blood is available in bars. The color comes from the fragrance oil. No dyes used. 

*~Eucalyptus~*

Eucalyptus is available in bars and rounds. This soap is strong and will open the sinuses right up! These bars and rounds contain commercial dyes.

*~Fresh Linen~*

 Fresh Linen is available in bars and rounds.  There are commercial dyes in the bars and in the rounds.

 *~ Honeysuckle ~*

 Honeysuckle is available in bars. The bars are swirled with orange and yellow dye.

Jasmine is available in bars. The most recent batch of Jasmine are a nice white color. New pictures coming soon. No colorant in this batch.

*~ Lavender ~*

 Lavender is available in rounds and bars. The bars contain a dye and look different than what is pictured above.

*~ Lavender and Vanilla Extract ~*

*~ Leather ~*

Leather smells just like the real thing! This scent is available in bars. No dyes used. Plenty available!

*~ Lick Me All Over ~*

Melons, Jasmine, and other wonderful smells make this good enough to eat. This soap is available in bars and heart shapes. It is swirled with a pink commercial dye. Plenty available!

 *~ Lilac ~*

 Lilac is available in bars. No dyes used. 

*~ Lily Of The Valley ~*

Lily Of The Valley is a pleasant floral scent. These bars are green with a beautiful white swirl. A number of these bars are available.

*~ Love Spell Type ~*

Love Spell Types is available in bars, rounds and heart shapes. Most of the Love Spell Type has a commercial dye in it, some of which did not come out true in the end. This soap available in all the shapes. One of my favorite scents!

Melon Splash is available in bars. It is swirled with green and red dyes. There are only a few small bars of this scent left. I have tried a new Melon scent to see if I can find an acceptable replacement.

*~ Monkey Farts/ Monkey Mayhem ~*

Fruits {mainly banana}, bubblegum with some vanilla. A unique scent.  This soap is available in bars. The fragrance oil causes a dark bar. No colorant used. These bars are also available labeled as "Monkey Mayhem" for those not wishing to gift a bar with the other name. Please let me know which you prefer when ordering. A good number available!

*~ Oatmeal, Milk and Honey ~*

Oatmeal, Milk and Honey is a classic. I use ground oatmeal and honey for these bars. There are no fragrance oils or dyes in these bars of soap. This soap is available in bars.

*~ Patchouli ~*

Patchouli is available in bars. In the picture above, my sister's castile Patchouli bars are also displayed. No dyes used.

Petal Soft is available in regular bars. The bars are an aqua base color with purple embedded hearts. This is my first attempt at my own fragrance combination. This scent has Lily Of The Valley, Jasmine and Black Magic in it.

Pink Sugar is available in regular bars. The fragrance oil causes this to be a brown bar. My attempt at swirling white and pink did not show through.

Sandalwood is available in bars. No dyes used. The most recent batch turned a dark tan/purplish color with a green top.

 *~Simply Soap~*

Simply Soap is just as it sounds. It is simply soap with no fragrance and no colorant. A nice white, clean bar with no frills attached. Simply Soap is available in bars and rounds. This soap contains Aloe Vera Juice, which my other soaps do not.

*~ Strawberries & Cream ~*

Strawberries and Cream smells good enough to eat! This scent is available in bars. The fragrance oil causes the soap to turn dark. No dyes used in most of the bars. Only a handful left. I will not be resoaping this unless it is requested.

 Sweet Pea Type has a pale pink swirl from commercial dyes. This is available in bars. Plenty available!

 *~ Vanilla Extract Swirl ~*

Vanilla extract swirl is available in bars. The vanilla fragrance oil turns the soap dark. No dyes used.

 These balms weigh about .15 ounce each and are available in four different flavors.  They contain Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil and Flavor Oil.

These are available in Basic Balm (no Flavor oil added), Bubblegum, Cherry Berry and Hint of Mint.

$2 each or buy 3/$5.

 Please specify your flavor(s) when ordering.

 Please remember when ordering to include your choice of scent for your bar of soap, your flavor choice for your tube of lip balm, your pattern and color for your washcloth/bath sponge and your fragrance and type for your candle. For the spa special I need to know if you want a basket or not. Additional soaps can be added for $2.50 each. Simply indicate in your order where the soaps belong and what scents. Gift sets can be taylored to your needs.

Bath and Balm Special- You can order a bar of soap and tube of lip balm in a white organza bag for $5.00 Let me know when ordering; the soap scent and the lip balm flavor.  A mere $5 for a wonderful stocking stuffer!

Cleanse and Cloth Special- A bar of soap of your chosing along with a hand knitted washcloth or bath sponge in a white organza bag for $6. You choose the scent of the bar along with the pattern and color of the hand knitted washcloth from our selection.

Cleansing Bath, Balm and Cloth Special- The above two specials combine into one for $8. You choose a bar of soap, one tube of lip balm and one hand knitted washcloth or bath sponge. All are packaged in a white organza bag.

Spa Special- The soothing combination of the previous special with a flameless or soy candle of your choice. You receive one bar of soap, one tube of lip balm, one handknitted washcloth or bath sponge in an organza bag along with a candle of your choice. The package can be done up in a small basket for $18.00 or can be wrapped as is for $14.00. Each package will be wrapped in a biodegradeable and compostable cello bag.

Hand Knitted Washclothes

Colors available are {Top left to right} dark Rainbow, light Rainbow, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue/Green, {Bottom left to right} Dark Blue, Blue/Purple, Pink/Purple, Pink, White and Earth Tones. Not pictured is Purple.

 I hand knit these myself. When ordering please keep in mind that if I do not have your color and style in stock, it will take an extra day to prepare your order.

Soap Sample Sets

 Soap Sample packs are available. Each soap sample is packaged in it's own plastic bag and the collection of samples are packaged in an organza bag. Sample packs come in varying sizes. Please remember to indicate Sample size and your fragrances when ordering.

Large Samples Sets;

2 for $2.50; 4 for $5; 6 for $7.50; 8 for $10; 10 for $12.50; etc.

Small Sample Sets;

3 for $2.50; 6 for $5; 9 for $7.50; 12 for $10; 15 for $12.50; etc.

 Delightful Scents is my older sister's candle business. I am listing her available candles here for a one stop shopping experience. When you order, we will combine all of your orders into one shipment with one price.

 
Candles- The round 8 ounce jars on the table are Flameless Candles (Smelly Jellies).

Flameless candles are not burned. You take the lid off of the jar and set it on a solid surface. As the water evaporates from the gel the fragrance is released into the air. When the jar is about half empty, you add water, put the lid back on, shake it up and it is ready to go again, as the gel is revitalized. She had customers return to the PF this year and say their Flameless candles are still going strong. She has a flameless candle in her truck as an air freshener. I know I spend the winter with a "Sinus Relief" flameless open on the stand near my head. It helps me to breathe better at night.  These are $7 each or 2 for $13. If you buy 3 at the regular price {$21} you get a fourth FREE. The Soy are just normal wick candles made with soy. These are $7 each or 2 for $13. I can make batches to fulfill most requests. It will be approximately one month from the time your order is placed until the time your soaps are ready, if I do not have any in stock.
