Bucks used this year include Rudolph Valentino-P {4 yr old Reg. Polled Purebred Nubian}, Sparky {2 yr old Fullblood Boer-RIP}, Sancho {2 yr old 76% Boer}, Kidd {Yearling 75% Boer}, Silverado {Yearling 3/4 Alpine, 1/4 Boer}, Kieran {Yearling Reg. Purebred Nubian}, Remmington {2009- Fullblood Boer} and JayJay's son {2009 7/8 Alpine, 1/8 Boer}. The majority of these bucks, along with their pedigrees, can be found on the Breeding Bucks page.
Again, the majority of doelings will be available for sale. I will also be selling mature does as well. Mostly young stock. 3 years old and younger. If someone strikes your fancy, feel free to contact me. I am willing to sell a few bred does this winter. We hope to keep the breeding herd under 75 head.
There will be milk stand ready does available this year. Let me know early on if you are interested in a milking doe. They will be available with, or without, a kid or kids on them. Prices start at $100.
I hope to raise as many doelings on CAE Prevention as possible again. Their prices will be increased this year if we need to raise them to weaning. CAE Prevention here means I attend each birth. I remove the kid before the dam touches it. It is dried, iodined and whisked to the house. It is fed 20-60 ounces of raw cow's colostrum from our dairy herd and then moved onto raw cow's milk from our herd. It is raised in the house until trained to a lambar and then moved to a clean section of the milking barn away from the rest of the herd. They are raised on free choice raw cow's milk in a lambar until weaning. Prices for this group will range between $45 and $100 for the first month. After a month of age their prices will steadily increase. Price depends on their breeding and when you can come take them home. The earlier you take them, the less it will cost you.
As a general rule, bucklings are left on their dams. If you are interested in a buckling (for breeding) from a particular breeding, let me know as soon as possible. They will be raised on prevention and must be gone before 8 weeks. At 8 weeks, if other plans have not been made, I will band them and put them back with the main herd. Bucklings pulled for breeding purposes will start at $50. All others will be wethered before 10 weeks old and will start at $50 for Boer X and $30 for straight dairy.
These prices are somewhat negotiable and discounts are available for multiple purchases. I am more than willing to work with your situation.
All kids will be disbudded within a week of birth unless you request otherwise.
We reserve the right to retain any kid for our breeding herd. I will do my best to match the right kid with the right situation.
In the following charts all kids with an * next to their number are being dam raised. All kids without an * are being raised on CAE prevention. If you are interested in a kid please contact me.

Note- Four of our bucks-> Rudy-P {Nubian}, Silverado {Alpine/Boer}, Sancho {76% Boer} and Kidd {75% Boer}, broke into the Main pen on three different dates- 9/1/09, 9/6/09 and 9/7/09. There are probably a number of does and doelings settled to these dates that are not listed as solid due dates. I am crossing my fingers for bucks. The majority of the kids will be shipped for meat.
We also used AI {Artificial Insemination} for the first time this year. The three bucks being used are Tri Quest Winchester {FullBlood Boer}, Dixie-Does Socrates Magellan {Alpine} and MissDee's Nilan {Alpine}. With this being my first year I will be thrilled if even one doe settles.
