CRYSTALS

HOW CRYSTALS GROW

Generally, quartz crystals grow in a hexagonal (six sided) structure, with additional faces sloping towards a point at one end. A crystal withe these features is itself called a point. Points may be totally clear, or may contain streaks, rainbows, water bubbles, or other inclusions. They may also appear cloudy if they have grown in a place where it freezes in the winter. Optical clarity usually has little to do with the crystal's quality and ability to amplify subtle energies.

SELECTING A CRYSTAL

To select a crystal, first put yourself in a calm place. Hold the crystal in your hands with the point towards you. Feel it physically. Be open to feelings such as tingling, changes in temp. Also feel the crystal emotionally. Think of the purpose you want for it, such as: healing, intuition, dream work...and see if you feel attracted to the crystal. Be more concerned with how the crystal feels to you rather than how it looks. Allow the crystal to pick you by interacting with it in this way. And remember to go with your initial feeling. If you need a specialized crystal to work with, consider one of the types below.

CRYSTALS WITH SPECIAL PROPERTIES

ISIS CRYSTALS

Have five edges surrounding the largest sloping face. These crystals strongly amplify the feminine energy. And can help you get in touch eith the 'femal' or unselfish side of yourself, no mater whether you are a man or women. These crystals are useful in balancing your male-female energy if the female energy is supressed, or if you need a greater balance of female energy for any reason. Isis crystals put you in touch with the power of the goddess.

For men, the Isis crystal will help you become more in tune with your feminine side and tobecome more aware of the aspects of women that you may find more troubling.

For women, the Isis crystal will help you regain some of the power and energy that society has taken from you. Teaches that feminine is not weak. Anyone doing healing work with another person needs Isis energy to be effective.

The Isis crystal should be carried or held when dealing with issues that are emotional and difficult.

Exercise: Isis crystals can be used to project nurturing energy toward another person. To do this, sit quietly with the Isis crystal in your hand with the point directed away from you. Visualize the person that you wish to help and visualize white light going from the point of the crystal and surrounding the person.

To nurture yourself, sit with the Isis crystal in your hand with the point directed towards you. Visualize a white light going from the point of the crystal and surrounding you. After doing this you should feel strong and cared for.

 CHANNELING CRYSTAL

Have seven edges surrounding the largest sloping face. These crystals are especially useful for obtaining information from deep within yourself or from sources that are outside your normal realm. They can help you draw on the knowledge and information that is provided by the universe, and can aid you in getting help from a higher source. A channelling crystal can be used anytime you are seeking answers or help from outside of yourself. You must 'listen' very carefully when using this crystal and realize that answers can come from many sources.

Communication with Guide: A channelling crystal is a line of communication with sources outside yourself. Generally, the main source is your guide. A guide is a non-physical entity whose primary job is to look after you. Every human being has a guide. Guides are sometimes called other things, such as conscience, or angels, but they are always with us. We must learn to listen to what they have to say. Your guide will never tell you ehat to do, or interfere in other ways with what you want to do, but your guide is there to help you find answers foe yourself. And you can use your channeling crystal to let your guide be your conscience.

A channeling crystal can only be used by the person holding it. In other words, you can't send the energy to someone else in order to let him recieve the information directly. However, since guides communicate readily with each other, you can become good at getting information to people by asking your guide to give you the needed information for someone else, and then relaying it to the person. This is how you channel information for others. Channeling crystals amplify the quiet inner voice of your guide, and can be a big help in learning how to channel information, both for yourself and for others.

EXERCISE: sit quietly holding the channeling crystal in your hand and focus on or consider the problem or area that you need help with. 'Listen' carefully but remeber that the answer might not come immediatly. Often, in the beginning, you may find that you wake up some morning and seem to 'Know' what to do. When you are working on a problem, keep the channeling crystal with you as much as possible and keep it close at night. Sometimes that is the only time the answers can come clearly when you are just starting to open your eyes.

GROUNDING CRYSTALS

Have eight edges surrounding the largest sloping face. They are quite rare and not always easily available. Grounding is the ability to deal with practical matters in a realistic way. For example, in dealing with the question 'how am I going to make a living', a grounded person will consider his skills and decide how best to use those skills to make a living. An ungrounded or 'spacey' person does not like to deal with the practical or realistic aspects of life.

Grounding crystals help you deal with practical matters in a realistic way. They connect you with the earth and keep your energies from being scattered. They help you think clearly and express yourself clearly. When used in meditation they help you from a strong connection with higher knowledge, but keep you grounded so that you can apply that information in practical terms. When using a grounding crystal to work through a personal problem, remember that it will require you to look at the truth of the situation and compel you to deal with the truth.

It is sometimes difficult to recognize times when you need this crystal because not being grounded can be a way of life for some people. These days, it is commonto be a little spacey because of things going on in our world. When you are having trouble concentrating, feeling reluctance to takle a task that needs doing, or find yourself running in circles but accomplishing nothing, you need a grounding crystal.

EXERCISE: Sit quietly holding the crystal. Visualize yourself firmly rooted to the earth. Breathe deeply and visualize the roots going deeper into the earth. Continue this exercise until you feel calm and peaceful. When you are having a 'spacey' time be sure to keep your grounding crystal close to you. Some people may need to keep it with them most of the time.

You can sometimes help another person become more grounded by sitting quietly, holding your grounding crystal, and visualizing that person being firmly rooted to the earth.

WINDOW CRYSTALS

has a small diamond shaped face which takes the place of one of the corners where two of the parallel faces usually meet the coresponding two sloping faces. Window crystals are introspective crystals in that they help you see what is inside yourself. They help bring things to the surface so you can see them and effectively deal with them. If you are having problems and aren't sure why, a window crystal can be a good help.

Windaow cryatals are used for working within yourself to deal with problems and changes that must be made in your life. They are used in meditation to help you solve problems that are troubling your inner being. For example, if you are very jealous of a friend, you can use a window crystal to work within yourself to find the reason and deal with it.

Think of a window crystal as a window into your soul. These are very personal crystals, and when one comes into your hands, it is intended to help you specifically.

EXERCISE: Sit with the crystal in your hand and concentrate on whatever there is within you that needs dealing with or changing. Just sit quietly and allow your mind to go where it wants to go. If you aren't sure what changes you need to make, sit with the crystal and ask it directly to help you find the areas in your life that may be causing you problems that you are not aware of.

This crystal can be used when trying to help someone else solve problems. If a friend comes to you to talk about a problem have him hold the window crystal while you talk. It can help him open up.

RECORD KEEPERS

have a pyramid shaped indentation or elevation that appears to be etched on one of the sloping faces. These are fairly rare, and often the pyramid will not be noticed until the crystal comes into the hands of the person it was meant to work with. Sometimes the pyramid can disappear and sometimes more pyramids show up. Each of these crystals has its own special lesson to teach, usually the lesson the person most needs to learn.

Record keepers differ from window crystals in that window crystals help you look inside yourself to let you see various things you need to learn, while record keepers deal with a specific lesson that you need to learn. A record keeper will often pass from your hands very quickly once the lesson is learned.

Carry your record keeper or put it close to your bed so that it can work with you. It can also be used for meditation.

Some crystals have several special characteristics, i.e. an isis with a record. In this case there is a specific lesson to learn that deals with the feminine side of your energy. If you have an isis with a window it means that you need to look inside to find the areas in your feminine side that are causing you problems.

TWIN CRYSTALS

Have two terminations (points) at the same end, which have developed from a single base. You can tell a twin crystal from two crystals that are simply attached to each other, by the fact that both parts of a twin crystal are exactly parallel to each other, and have no boundary between them in at least a small region of the crystal. These are wonderful crystals to use when dealing with 'relationship' things. They can help you gain insight into the underlying problems in a relationship, and help work through them. They can generate very positive energy towards improving a relationship. This works for any kind of relationship, not only man-women relationships. A twin with a rainbow can be very effectively used to project healing energy into a relationship or to keep a good relationship strong.

When you are having a problem with a relationship sit quietly with the twin and ask for help. Remember, that answers come from many directions.

Twins are personal crystals as one of the twins is very closely tuned to your energy, so it is not possible to use this crystal to work for others in relationship matters.

DOUBLE TERMINATED CRYSTALS

Are crystals that have points on both ends, allowing energy to flow readily in both directions. Double terminated crystals strengthen energy flow, and are especially useful when you need to share or exchange energy between you and another person. They are useful when you are working to help other people, for example in massage counselling, where energy needs to flow in both directions. In these situations, energy flows towards you when you tune in to a person to find out what the person needs, and energy flows from you when you give the person the needed healing energy. Double terminated crystals are very important to people doing healing work for themselves or others. They also teach sharing through energy exchange.

EXERCISE: If you are feeling out of balance with the world, sit quietly and hold the double terminated crystal in your right hand. Visualize white light flowing into the first point, through the crystal and out the other point directly into your body.

If working with someone else, visualize energy flowing into you through the top of your head, down your arm, through the crystal, and into the other person. This can be done while you are with the person or it can work from a distance.

If you have children, try using this crystal to send positive energy to the child when the child is upset or angry. It can have a very calming effect on the both of you.

RAINBOW CRYSTALS

Have a rainbow reflected from within the crystal. Usually they are best viewed in sunlight. These crystals are especially good as meditation crystals for working deep within the subconscious. They work particularly well to lighten the mood for people experiencing sadness, grief or depression. Just holding a rainbow crystal can lighten your mood. Rainbow crystals are also very good at drawing negativity by letting it sit in the sunshine for a while.

EXERCISE: Rainbow crystals bring joy into your life. If you are sad or depressed sit and meditate on the rainbow. It can help lighten your mood. If working with another, let him hold the crystal if he is with you. If he is not with you, hold the rainbow and visualize white light leaving the rainbow and going to him.

CRYSTALS WITH BABIES

Are crystals that have tiny crystals growing inside a larger crystal? These are very good for people who have had traumatic childhoods, physically or mentally. They are helpful for people who are blocking painful memories. They help bring the cause of pain to the surface and allow the person to successfully deal with it, while shielding that person from the pain those memories can cause. These crystals work well for people who are working through current family problems.

Work slowly with this type of crystal so things can be cleared at your own pace. You may not feel inclined to work with it at all in the beginning. Don't force yourself. When you feel ready, you will find yourself drawn to that particular crystal. You may have this crystal for years before you use it.

Also, sometimes crystals come to you so that they can go to someone else. For example, someone might receive a crystal with babies, have it for some time and not be drawn to it at all. Suddenly they will have an urge to pass it on to someone else.

You can use this crystal in meditation or just keep it close to you. Just be prepared to deal with whatever comes up. Try to have some sort of support around you if you are going to work with this crystal.

TRIGGER CRYSTALS

Have a smaller crystal growing out from them. This 'trigger can be gently squeezed to activate the power of the crystal and strengthen its attributes. These are just used for a surge of a particular kind of energy.

SELF-HEALED & PHANTOM CRYSTALS

A self-healed crystal is one that has been broken off and damaged quite badly, but then begins to grow again. A phantom is a crystal that has had some impurity drop on it during growth, but then continues to grow right around the impurity. Either of these types of crystal can help you heal from being hurt, heal from emotional injuries. These are important crystals that will usually come into your life at a time when you are carrying a lot of pain. Just sitting with this crystal will help you deal with the pain effectively.

CLUSTERS

These represent community and are very powerful at clearing any negative energy from the room. Just set one out somewhere and allow it to work to clear the environment.

AMETHYST/SMOKEY CLUSTERS

These are powerful in keeping the spirit cantered because they carry a special kind of energy that keeps all the energy centres within the body aligned, balanced, and in harmony with each other.

CLEANSING CRYSTALS

When you first get a crystal it will need cleansing because it will have picked up many energies on its way to you. There are several ways of doing this. It can be left in full sunlight for a day, also in full moonlight. Running water is good, fresh water, streams, and rivers. Visualization of the crystal in a mountain stream or flooded with white light is also a good way. Your intent should be pure and good, when using water do not use hot or warm water. Always cleanse after it has been used in any sort of healing and when you want to re-program it.

PROGRAMMING CRYSTALS

The only crystal that can be programmed is quartz. First make sure your crystal is cleansed. Sit in a quiet place and still your mind. Think clearly about what thought you want the crystal to hold, take a deep breath, holding the crystal in your left hand, blow your intention onto the crystal. This is a very powerful way to program the crystal. You can program a crystal to help you do most things. Try and use different crystals for separate things. Use one for healing, one for information storage, one for music, etc.

CHARGING CRYSTALS

Crystals need to be charged up, somewhat like a car battery. The way to do this is very similar to cleansing. Again in the sun, under the moon, any holy place, by stream or river. Leave as long as you feel is right. Don't leave them in draws or dark places; they like to be out in the open to work to their full potential.

WEARING CRYSTALS

Usually worn around the neck, stimulating the thyroid and increasing the efficiency of the immune system. Also assists the respiratory system and sore throats. When the crystal is pointing down it is grounding, soothing and calming. Giving energy to all systems. When the crystal is pointing towards this strengthens the spirit and gives a general uplift. A double terminated crystal (pointed at both ends) is excellent to use as it balances the two, giving a combination of both.

CHOOSING, CLEANING, CLEARING AND PROGRAMMING

All crystals need to be treated with respect and love. If they are used as a tool, do so with humility and gratitude. In choosing a crystal, it is necessary to find one that vibrates in harmony with the self and with the specific purpose for which you are bringing it into your life. Like attracts like. Each human and each crystal has its own vibration.

In front of you is a tray of crystal quartz and others. Look at them. Feel them. There are a number of ways to know which is right for you. Instant rapport - is there one that you are instantly drawn to? Strong energies - move your hand over the top and feel the energies from each and see which one you are drawn to. Physical attraction - is there one that you really like the look of and must pick it up and feel it?

Now you have your quartz crystal, what do you do with it? It now needs to have the outside cleansed. The best way to do this is with water. This cleans the outside of the vibrations of its travels from the miner to the buyer to the importer, to the wholesaler, etc. It also needs cleaning when it is dirty, dusty or has body oil on it from handling. Just as you need a shower or bath on a regular basis, so do your crystals. Many also like to bathe in the light of moon. My preference is the moon rather than the sun. All your crystals like to be cleansed, be it quartz or gemstones.

Quartz crystals store vibrations that come from sound, light, touch, emotions, other bodies, and physical environment and affect those coming in contact with the crystal. Thus, they need to be cleared before working with them after they have been used; when it appears to lack vitality or looks dull; and to neutralize internal programs. Please remember that they are an energy storage device. To clear, you will hold the quartz in your hands and pulse with the mental intent to clear. Crystals are also programmed with the use of pulse breath. Both the clearing and programming are done with quartz crystals only as the colored stones have their own innate programs. When humans and quartz crystals work together, the crystal becomes a very sensitive and precise tool. They accumulate the intentions/programs of the user; magnify and amplify them; focus them and feed them back to the environment. When we program, the crystal is keyed to our personal vibration and thus it becomes an extension of self. The storage of programs in a crystal is similar to the storing of data on a computer chip.

CENTERING ONES SELF

To use crystals effectively one needs to have a cantered state of mind from which to work. Crystals amplify whatever energies are around them so whatever you are feeling may well be enhanced when crystals are close by. To balance is not to make yourself neutral; rather you are entered with your feelings so that your emotions are balanced. Balance means you are feeling without allowing them to control, overwhelm or distract you from your intent. If, at any time you have difficulty in achieving or maintaining your centre, put your crystals aside and return to them later. There are many ways to achieve cantering. Here are but four. I suggest you try each, and then use those, which serve you best.

CENETRING BY RELAXATION

A calm and silent mind can reach into any universe. To begin, take a few slow, deep breaths and allow your body to relax into a comfortable position. Beginning with your feet, tense the muscles tightly and hold them for 10 seconds, then relax. Then, in sequence, repeat this action all the way up your body; your calves, thighs, buttocks, back, chest, arms, hands, neck, face, and scalp. Breath into each part as you go. On the in-breath you draw life to yourself. The out breath allows release to occur, here is your opportunity to dump the stress your body holds. When this part is done, go inwards to your own space and begin to imagine. Your imagining may take you into a forest, among the clouds, an enchanted garden maybe. The objective is to create a mood of tranquillity and peace. Once you have created your calmness, your crystal work may begin.

CENTERING BY WATER

Bathing is an act of cleansing the body and soul. When done intentionally for balancing it is very effective indeed! Take time out to enjoy a warm bath or shower. Water not only washes away the grime, it will calm a worried mind of stress when done as a sacred and deliberate act. Use bath salts and candles as one pleases. Feel deeply its warmth and wetness and allow it to soothe your unsettled mind.

CENTERING BY GROUNDING

To go about bare foot is to always be connected to earth. It is a sad fact that too many of us wear shoes to often and is insulated from grounding to the earth. Take a walk bare foot on the bare earth. There are definite balancing effects that are created when doing this. Its like drinking fresh spring water or the warmth of the sun. To walk in the open, anywhere that pleases you will do just fine. Your objective is to centre, your activity is movement and extroversion. By placing your attention outwardly onto the environment, you connect with physical reality and your own universe will assume a more balanced prospective.

CENTERING BY BREATH

Breathing is the beginning and end of your life. The depth and quality of your every day life has everything to do with how you breathe. In cantering it is used as a means to achieve your focus and empower your intention. Understand that breathing is the most fundamental of the body’s actions you have control of. This fact gives us power when realized and applied. To use it for cantering, take three long, slow, deep but comfortable breaths, intend by self command yourself to become balanced. The skills of cantering and balance are rarely taught to us as children, so as adults we often need to break life long habits of stress as well as remembering to breath deep. Cantering may seem difficult at first, but like any new activity, familiarity comes with practice. There will come a time when entered is a description for your life and very little will upset your being.

THE CLEANSING, CHARGING AND ACTIVATION OF CRYSTALS

CLEANSING

To cleanse a crystal is to strip away static and accumulated charge that the stone has picked up while in use. Because of the different virtues of each stone type, some will need more attention than others. For example citrine very rarely needs cleansing because of its particularly extroverted energy flow. Malachite however is very receptive to energy absorption (in fact this is how it works, by drawing into it's self the energy around it) and it is recommended to clean malachite regularly.

WHEN TO CLEAN?

You will often know by its feel or emotive response. Train your intuitive sense to feel for a miss-emotion, turbulence or dullness in the stone. It may look cloudy or dull in colour, waxy, sometimes even ugly. If the stone is being used for healing, cleansing should be considered following each session. Personal stones that are worn often and intentionally for empowerment purposes will also require a regular routine. If you expect to get optimum results from crystalline techniques you will be using, keep them running clear and strong. There are lots of ways to cleans; I suggest you choose at the time the most appropriate for each occasion. You will find what works for you; you will also come up with a few of your own ways too.

CLEANSING TECHNIQUES

BY EARTH. To bury a stone is to take it home. The symbolism it implies is perfect for the deep cleansing that this means gives. Dig a hole well into the earth (in a safe spot). Place the stones point upward, and then cover it over. Water the hole well, and then fill it with soil completely. This will ensure good earthly contact. It should rest there for at least 10 days.

WITH WATER. If you have a stream (any clear running water) near by, place your crystals in a cloth pouch and tie it securely in the waters flow. Even 10 minutes is helpful but 24 hr's is far better. An hour in a glass under dripping tap, under a fall of water on a rainy day, or even a rock pool at the beach. Any source of clean water fresh or salty will do.

A CLUSTER OR GEODE of clear quartz or amethyst is the go for jewellery and other delicate pieces. When you are not actually using a crystal assign its home on the cluster. I recommend a cluster as big as your budget can possibly muster or at least one the size of a saucer. The cluster itself will require attention from time to time so keep a thought for it to.

BY SMUDGING. The use of smoke to cleanse crystals is a tradition of the American Indian Shaman. Smoke permeates the etheric and is able to 'dissolve' ambient charge in an environment. It is a particularly useful means of cleansing (both crystal and oneself) when incorporated within a sacred routine or ritual.

USING SEA SALT. Fresh plain sea salt will draw charge like a poultice from the crystal. You need enough salt to cover the whole crystal within a jar. A few drops of water to get good contact then leave it be for at least 3 days. It's quite a wasteful means as the salt can be used but once for this.

USE INTENTION AND YOUR OWN CHI ENERGY. This means is by far the most direct and instant solution. Providing you have developed your sense for managing personal energy, it is quick and very effective. It is a combination of certainty and intention, (a focused mind with a clear crystal in sight) directed breathing (slow and long to build power then command a blow like a freak gust of wind) and a pulse of energy pressed, all elements at one time.

CHARGING

Crystals accumulate, hold steady and emit energy charges. Generally speaking, the larger a crystals physical mass, the greater it's clarity, fewer internal or surface fractures it has, the larger it's overall energy capacity will be.

Exceptions to this would include crystals that have been worked with extensively by an experienced individual, those crystals, which have been 'en-lightened' by spiritual intervention and those that are members of matched sets of grid work crystals. A crystals given charge is the feel you get from it as it radiates. As you will see, the different 'moods' and dynamics that can be used are as perfect and quiet as a rose flower or as mighty and as loud as a storm.

A soul mate to quartz, the pyramid. They are coupled by geometric relationships at the twilight of physical time. These two do complement each other with perfection. Place your crystal at the centre for charging of the stone and greater activation of the pyramid.

A quality geode of amethyst cut in 2 provides a wonderful recluse for well-used crystals. Large amethyst clusters and geodes are excellent for both cleansing and charging purposes. I recommend to healers this means. It can handle a constant demand providing the cluster is it's self-cared for.

For those of you who use crystal circles, you will experience the very magnified fields they create. Using the centre of a quartz crystal grid work as a charge area will give an intense quartz charge.

Exposure to environment sources will create a response in a crystal. Put your moonstone to blue moon, or your diamond to the sun. The rhythms of nature and the rising tide can each be helpful, they all inspire.

Leave a crystal in an energy vortex, a sacred place or those areas filled with positive vibes.

The abundance of freshness can be captured from a waterfall or the beauty of a field of daffodils. Just like the recall of a fond moment in time, a crystal can replay any vibration you wish to inlay.

Charging a stone with your own energy is also a skill you will come to know. In the same way on clears a crystal with intent and breath, you can charge a stone with any concept or feel you can hold focused in mind.

ACTIVATION

Activation is distinctly different to charging. Charging is the renewal of energy stored within the stone. Activation is the expression of the crystals overall capacity and energy spectrum range. It's like a turbo charger added to an engine, an 'active' crystal is functioning at expanded levels of performance. As crystalline technology unfolds, the means to stimulate increasingly higher functions of purpose will be realized, but for the present there are known means to catalyse activation.Exposure to very high or low temperatures. This must be done under well-controlled conditions. Gradually is the key to avoid thermal shock, and a fractured crystal.

Extreme weather conditions such as lightning storms and blizzards will catalyse a stone.

Placing a crystal in the focal zones of strong electromagnetic devices such as tesla coils, plasma spheres or electrostatic generators will excite the crystal into greater activity. Laser light and magnetic are also known to amplify the responses fro crystals.

The most potentially effective means at this time is to set the chosen crystal at the centre of a 12-point grid work. Place a capstone pyramid over the centre to complete the array. Each day for 7, spend time focussing on the activation concept with the crystal. Definitely invite the greater consciousness to participate in the process. By the truest will, greatness may dwell here.

CRYSTAL PROGRAMMING

When you begin using programmed crystals, you will find that it works as an extension of your own consciousness. It is an intelligence template; a crystalline structure that will hold desired energy patterns stable for amplified duplication and transmission to specified places.

The essence of programming crystals lies in formulating a thought form (or other energy patterns) then, superimposing it into the matrix (crystalline structure) in a focused and coherent manner. This programming input causes the crystal to respond receptively, thus altering its own pattering to enfold an imprint of the input's character. Well-formulated thoughts appear not as linear progressions of concepts, but as holographic, multi-dimensional images with geometric values and specific vibration patterns. As holographic patterns, thought impinges on the upper universe levels creating a polarized field. The crystals atomic and sub-atomic energy levels comply with its resonance. The potentials existing at the no time no space levels of thought are considered to create stress directly upon manifestation probabilities in 3d. As ones' intentions and thoughts change, the shifting potentials influence the flows of 3.d. manifestations.

In programming a crystal, a tool is created which is essentially an extension of ones self. The intricacies of an individual's consciousness are also sensitively encoded along with the intended programming. After continued use by a person, a crystal becomes well keyed to its user and strong resonance is established between them. In effect, the crystals program serves as a template that pattern's in coming energy and emits that coherent, holographic form into the environment on an amplified beam. Fundamentally, whatever is programmed into the crystal will be duplicated, then (over time) will 'feed back' to the programmer. The intention of the programmer becomes a critical factor as to the nature of program and results that will follow. Keep in mind that whatever you program in will duplicate back were you are so, always do programming with clarity of consciousness, and integrity of intent.

There are two types of programs distinct in their spiritual qualities. These may be called inspired programming and Personality programming.

Inspired programming is facilitated by the aid of higher levels of awareness. Inspired programming includes the request of input from ascended individuals, angelic authorities, etc., and is always in the users highest evolutionary interests.

Personality programming on the other hand is the formation of intent that reflect ones desires and perceived needs in the physical world with no input from one's higher potentialities. Although crystals with personality programs work perfectly well within the impartial laws of cause and effect, blocks to spiritual growth may well occur as personality cantered desires for such things as adventure, wealth, sex or power may not be your actual "soul food". Be mindful, crystals are like double-edged swords, the use of which calls for discernment and purity of purpose.

A primary aspect of programming is learning how to interact well with the crystal. One's degree of success is directly related to the quality and clarity of communication established. Your easiest doorway is through your third eye chakra, so holding a crystal to it is most useful. Next, find which facet on the termination seems to be the best 'window' into the crystals interior. Position this facet so it is parallel to your brow and over the third eye. Slowly move the crystal directly from there outwardly 10 inches then slowly back to the forehead. You are feeling receptively for the strength of energy sensation stimulated in the chakra. Find the crystal position that gives the strongest feeling of harmony with you. Fine-tune this sensation by slight variation of movement. Now, project your awareness through the 'window' and into the crystals interior. Creative mock-ups work well for those having difficulty.

With a spirit of play, pretend you are breathing into the stone and drawing sensations back from it. By drilling this on a creative (imaginary) level, actual perception will be switched on. Your breathing should be long, slow and with comfortable rhythm. This drill is intended to develop your receptive awareness so do not place expectancy on it, simply be open and playful. Drill this regularly until results come without effort. You will now be skilled to learn an actual programming routine.

Prepare yourself by getting comfortable in a place where you will not be disturbed. Centre your awareness; align yourself for connection with your higher self and or "light beings". Request guidance, assistance and protection during the process of programming. With the crystal in hand, you now raise your awareness as high as possible. Next, formulate the concept of the program. A concise description of intent is needed which requires clarity of concept, a whole picture. Words alone are of little value; one must feel, be the program to create the holographic image needed. So mock it up then make it more solid! Breathe yourself into it. Mock it up again then make it solid. You are building a clear thought, a powerful command of intent that grows clear as a holographic pattern of thought energy.

With the program fully developed, bring the crystal up to your forehead, connect with it (as learned from the prior drill) then impose the program into the crystals interior. You need to hold the program steady and clear for at least one minute. Your certainty to make it stick will definitely help. It is now done, detach from the crystal and close the procedure with balancing back into 3.d. reality. With practice, this procedure will become easy. Allow yourself to develop your own style of programming as your familiarity and skill improve.

It is good to repeat a programming several times. This deepens the imprint and also brings higher clarity to the programmer's own mind. Once programmed the crystal is a specialized extension of the person and there exists an energy tie between them regardless of distance between them. The crystal must be carefully maintained so that gross unbalancing influences do not affect the crystal and it's user. It is wise to put your crystals through regular cleansing and clearing routines. The most effective means utilizing programmed crystals for personal use is to carry them with you and put your attention directly upon them.

Erasing Programs: With a well-programmed crystal, clearing and cleansing procedures will not erase the program. To erase a program, go through usual programming procedure. Formulate the intent to erase with 'erase the existing program'. Impinge needs to be done effectively once (not 7 times as done when laying in a program). Following this, give the crystal a good cleansing. It is now ready for a new program.

Multiple Programs: Many programs can be imprinted within one crystal. So long as each is harmonically interrelated i.e. has similar characters of command, they will function effectively. For example, one would not put a communication program in with healing programs, as they will tend to neutralize the effectiveness of both. When programming another in, do it in the usual manner, you will not damage any programs already present. To selectively erase a program use the usual technique and intentionally state the program is to be wiped.

To erase all programs contained within, the intent is "wipe all".

Programming Clusters: Clusters are groups of 3 or more points joined at their base. Each crystal can be individually programmed with differently but harmonically related programs. Together the cluster will create a symphony of vibrations.

DIVERSITY OF PROGRAMMING

The diversity of programming is a second bulletin on this subject and looks briefly at further applications. Healing energies can be used to target specific ailments by the use of affirmations, visualizations and pure energy patterns from crystals as programs. By keeping such crystals upon ones person, and with focused attention your cells and tissues, your whole being is continually exposed to the crystals healing instructions.

Affirmations, visualizations, spiritual symbols, and mandalas can each be programs, which will there after chant the specified intent on your behalf. They are used to add strength of conviction while doing creative mind space work.

Colour can be programmed in. Place the crystals in direct sunlight (expose with a full days worth) wrapped in colored gel, plastic or covered by stained glass. The theatrical colour gels work best as their colours have specific values. Multiple colours may be programmed into a single crystal then applied individually or collectively to the healing need.

Sound, tuning forks, musical instruments, musical compositions and mantras are all useful with programming. With tuning forks, place the vibrating fork's handle directly on the crystal. Repeat the procedure for 10 minutes once a day for 7 days. Keep the crystal in a 6-point grid work (data on grid work can be found in k pool. "Grid work") while the programming process progresses over the week. Use the same procedure for programming tones or cords with musical instruments. To impart an entire composition or mantra, a recording is played with 2 speaker set up on opposite sides of the grid work pointing directly at the crystal in the centre.

Environmental influences can be absorbed as a program. Energy essence patterns such as one's favourite spot, or the vibes from a particular tree, a flowering stream or the earthiness of a cave can each be captured for use. Prepare the crystal in the usual way for programming, ask for divine assistance then leave the crystal in the desired place for at least a week. Remember to solicit the help of device entities associated to the energy you are seeking.

Vortex areas and holy ground are blessed with powerful energy currents and abundance of light. By programming these crystals you can utilize it's energy without having to be on location to receive it. Prepare the crystal then ask for permission and assistance from the power sites guardians. When possible leave the crystal within the site for a week. If you cannot leave it in place, focused meditation and cramming of it's vibes will achieve your goal.

Energy signatures of particular star systems, specific light beings, guides, angelic entities etc. can be captured as programs to establish direct an continuous links with it and ones self. To achieve this, set up a 6-point grid work around a 12-inch pyramid in a quiet, harmonious and undisturbed place. Prepare the crystal to be used as the link, and then place it as the centre of the grid. Stand directly over the set up then find your communication link with your chosen entity. Ask for permission to establish a solid communication line through the crystal.

Links with other people can be strengthened by exchange of crystals. As the giver, you would put "yourself into the stone" and acknowledge the energy you share with the other. CHAKRAS

The word chakra is a Sanskrit word-meaning wheel. It is a wheel-like spinning vortex that interpenetrates the physical body, with the outer ends of each vortex forming a specific layer of the auric field. The whirling circular motion forms a cavity or vacuum in the center that draws in anything it encounters on its particular vibrational level. It is then processed and returned to the auric field. The major chakras of the human body are the seven chakras that are aligned along the spinal column. Secondary chakras of importance are located in the palms of the hands, the soles of the feet, and at major joints in the arms and legs.

For the people of antiquity - Egyptians, Chinese, Hindus, Greeks, Romans, and aboriginals of many lands - the chakras were an integrated part of daily lives. As these ancient civilizations were conquered, vast libraries of knowledge were destroyed. Only a few remnants of their information on the chakra system have survived - either through the preservation of ancient texts by sacred priesthoods, or orally from generation to generation, as in the traditions of many aboriginal peoples.

In any study of the anatomy of the aura it is important to understand the significance of the chakra system. The chakras exist on all levels of the aura and serve as linking mechanisms between the auric field and the physical body as well as linking mechanisms between the different levels of the auric field itself.
