Here's a little something we whipped up in english class. It's called
"Grant and Steve's Guide to Horror/Thriller/Suspence Movies."
Bad news is really bad.
The black guy either dies in the begining of the movie or saves
the day in the end, getting either killed or injured in the process.
If there are two balck guys, one guy dies in the begining of the movie and the other saves the day in the end, getting either killed or injured in the process.
The villan always has at least one false death (the average is usually two).
There's a moment of scilence right before the villan attacks.
The heroes are eventually trapped somewhere.
The comic relief dies.
If Owen Wilson is in the movie, he dies.
Compare every horror/thriller/suspence movie you've ever seen to these
rules. Most of the time almost all of the rules apply. These rules are
used most often in creature movies.
