The 6th Annual Morehead Motorcycle & Music Rally will be held on September 11, 2010. This event is free to the public and is for anyone who loves motorcycles, whether you love to ride or just love to look! This is a charity event and all proceeds go to a charity of our choice. There will be live music, motorcycle show, poker run, swap meet, motorcycle accessory & clothing vendors and food vendors.
The 2009 event was a huge success and we raised $4,650.00 for our charity (St. Jude Children's Research Hospital). We hope to make this year's event bigger and better and are looking into the possibility of a 2-3 day event. Check out the photo gallery for pics from the last few years.
The Motorcycle Show is a 10-class open-entry show. The cost to enter a bike is $10. Bike classes include Metric Cruiser, American Cruiser, Metric Touring, American Touring, Sport Bike, Trikes & Side Cars, Vintage, Owner Customized, Custom Builder and Kids (12 and under). Trophies are awarded for the top 3 in each class as well as special trophies for People's Choice, Custom Builder and Longest Distance Traveled. Door prizes are given away to motorcycle show entries. Biker-Up Magazine was the trophy sponsor for the 2009 show.
The Poke Run was a 67 mile trip through three counties. We try to do a simi-slow ride for all ridding abilitys and safety. The cost to enter the poker run was $10.00 with a split pot.
There will be live music. We have several motorcycle accessory and clothing vendors who attend the event every year. Vendors attending this year were T & T Leather (Russell, KY), Perkins Leather (Owingsville, KY), Ted & Sally's Leather (Aberdeen, OH), Harley Charleys Psycho Customs and more.(http://www.psychocharleys.com/). The Morehead Shrine Club provided the food booths.
