Spaceship on the Moon

Features that are signifacantly different

On the first page I pointed out crater features that were very similar in metric photos and A15 data. A dissenting opinion pointed out that there were any number of craters in the A15 image that were not in the metrics. In all of the images from NASA sources there are many craters visable in some and not others. This is the problem in comparisons where perspective, shadow, image resolution, terrain elevation angle, and viewing distance from surface are all factors. Rather than discuss the detail of a great many crators I selected the area where the metrics are most dissimilar to the NASA images for comparison.

It can be argued that the metrics are taken from closer to the surface as in a landing approach and the NASA images are from orbital distances so some details would be significantly different. However the feature I selected is of a size that some aspect of it should be visible in all the views.  In 9625 and 9630 there is a slight suggestion of this feature while in 1580 there is none. This strongly suggests that the metrics are from a 3 dimensional model either virtual or constructed and not actual metrics from the luner surface.
