She was a real sweety. She was a splay legged baby.
Her legs were in a splint. Her feet were taped to 1/2 of
a tongue depressor to force them into the correct position
and then I had to put her in a bowl and
tape the tongue depressor to the bottom of the bowl.
So I called her my little bowl baby.
She was a beautiful whiteface pearl.

Trooper was my special needs bird that I rescued from
a petshop nearly starved. He was a normal grey tiel
with a fighting spirit in spite of his handicap.
Trooper talked, sang, and got around very well. All toes
on both feet faced forward and the two "should be"
rear toes curled and he had no use of them.
He had filled out so well, grown a beautiful crest
and replaced his pitiful rubbed off tail feathers.
He was the happiest, most cheerful among my group of birds.
You will be so missed. PJ

I don't know how old Rene was. I was her
third owner. She was at least hatched in 1995. Probably before.
She is survived by her mate Buddy, and two other
suitors Spottie and Charlie. She is missed lots by them.

Baby Snooks was given to me by a friend that couldn't
keep him. He was such a little joy & full of
song when I brought him home. He was approximetely 20 years
old when he died this morning in my arms.
I will miss his beautiful whistles & watching him spread
his wings for his spray baths that he loved so much.
Try & find Freeway my little bird & also look for Serena
so she can care for you now. I will see you all one day
at the Bridge & oh what a reunion it all will be.

Sir Splendid

Sir Splendid hatched January 26, 1997.
In 2001 he went to live at my friends'
Mary and Ken's place to be a mate to Homer.
They really loved one another. They came to live with me
this summer when their owner's moved. Sir liked to wake
everyone up at dawn, and was the most beautiful bird.
On January 29, 2006 when he was near death he climbed
in a dessert dish on a cage top and
went to sleep to awaken at the Rainbow Bridge.
He is sadly missed by me, Homer and Mary and Ken.

Topper came to live with us approximately 1990
and he flew over Rainbow Bridge May 29, 2006.
He was a very special birdie and loved so much.
Topper...I love you dearly little buddy and will forever miss you.
