Michelle

• Our first pet piggie. 
• He was a dalmation, but did not have a pedigree
• We purchased him prior to our knowing anything about showing cavies.
• He died way too early at the age of 2, of an intestinal blockage.

Freddy

• We couldn't resist Freddy when we saw him at our local pet store.
• Although he was in the pen as a short haired pig, he turned into a silkie, to our surprise.
• Once we began showing cavies, we showed Freddy as well.  He did quite well.
• He also served as a wonderful nanny boar, teaching our new little boar babies all the things they needed to know.
• Freddy was the most lovable of all piggies, running to see us as we entered the room, and loving to be on our lap.  He also loved running around on the floor, and is the only piggie we have had that when put outside, would stay right by our sides, and not run for cover in the bushes.  He died this past November at the age of 5 1/2.  We miss him dearly.

Jupiter

• She is show quality, but we purchased her as a pet.
• We have opted not to breed her.
• We ocassionally show her, she is just now developing to her full potential, and may begin to do better on the show table.
