Montrose Lions

Who are Lions?

They are people of good will. They are members of clubs who care about their community. They are interested in it’s welfare, its health and standards, and in it’s progress. Lions belong to an International Organization consisting of more than 1,400,000 members from approximately 165 free nations and geographical areas of the world bound together by friendship, cooperation and understanding. A Lion doesn’t wait for regressive conditions to be solved by the government of “somebody else”. They believe citizens, joined together, can initiate and carry out programs which will make their community and the world a better place in which to live. A lion is aware of problems, be they local, national or international in nature. They realize that without support of individual citizens, problems will never be eliminated. A Lion understands it is their duty as individuals, to do all they can to help their fellow human being whenever they can.
