Monton Ladybirds formed in the year 1975, and sadly dispended around 1986-1987. The first practice night was on October 8^th 1975, and the trainers of the brand new troupe, poll and carol, were certainly not ready for the 40 or so girls who had turned up. yet although there were a lot of girls, only a certain few new how to dance, but with a lot of time and practice the girls learnt how to both march and dance and they soon formed a 14 junior line, and almost  4 months later, had there first ever dance out on January 25^th 1976.
