About The Family Development Foundation

As part of Covenant World Mission’s commitment to ministering to the whole person, the Family Development Foundation (FDF) was established in Monterrey, Mexico and has been serving the families of Monterrey since 1999.  With a seamless connection between words and deeds, the good news of Jesus Christ is being proclaimed through three main areas if ministry:

Healthy Family Courses

Healthy Family courses train and provide resources to parents of young children enrich and strengthen marriages and equip families to resolve conflict.

Project Down

In a city of more than 3 million people, Project Down is the only place that reaches out to the entire families affected by Down Syndrome.  Families come together from all walks of life, and various social and economic levels, all with the common denominator of having a child with Down Syndrome.

Community Transformation

Community Transformation facilitates and empowers the women, youth and children in various low-income communities to develop values that encourage the physical, economic, spiritual and emotional well-being if the individual and the community.

Youth are provided with opportunities to participate in art activities as well as English and music classes.  These are designed to raise the participant’s self-esteem, give him/her better opportunities for education and provide a healthy alternative to the gangs in which many youth are involved.
