About Monolith!
FAQ
Q: Where did you get this crazy idea?
A: I got the idea for Monolith from a few of my old attempts at web comics. The story is all origonal and I wanted to do an origonal comic rather then one based off random events like I did in the past.
Q: Do all of these characters belong to you?
A: No they do not. Most of the characters in this series are my friends from Furcadia and rights are reserved. Eve and a handfullof others are mine. this was actually a big issue with some misunderstanding over a fan pic.
Q: So why call it "Monolith"?
A: Hee-hee that would be giving away part of the story.
Q: What about fan art?
A: Provided any of you love me enough to do fan art for me I would love it! However there are some things to keep in mind: DO NOT DRAW ELM. Trust me just dont! You can draw any of the other characters (but make sure the ownership is shown) I love fan art and feel so great when I get some!
Q: How do you make a comic?
A: When ever I have time between work or school I stab a piece of paper with a mechanical pencil. Ok seriously, I use a blue colored pencil to outline everything then I draw it in with a mechanical pencil. The blue is harder for the scanner to pick up so it should be cleaner when I scan it. I draw it then I go over the characters and speak bubbles with the pencil again so they stand out. Next I scan it, crop, resize and clean up the line art. After all that I color map it (mark what color everything is) and send it off to Fyre. I bug him a few times a week and he colors it on the computer.
Q: So who is this Fyre and why let him do the coloring?
A: Fyre is one of my best friends, he's the owner of The Collared Dragon on furcadia. He does alot of 3D rendering art and he's really good! Fyre does a better job of coloring then I could do and he was kind enough to do it for me. he is alot more reliable then I am so he helps me stay on track.
