The Raymond Monk Sr. Lineage.

Raymond and Lucy Monk - Are the patriarch and matriarch of this Monk Family line of ascension. Raymond Monk Sr. was born and raised in Newton Grove, NC. His father, our grandfather, was George Monk (His father was Ike Monk).  Lucy Mae Royale-Monk, our mother,  was born in Wallace, NC. Together they raised their family in Goldsboro, NC passing on their legacy of honor, dedication, family unity and compassion.

Helen Jackson- The eldest living daughter and sibling, a former New Yorker, now resides in Dudley, NC.

Essie Lee Cox - The second eldest living daughter and sibling, is a retired factory worker and resides in Goldsboro, NC

Margie Lee Monk - The third daughter, is deceased.  She graduated from Dillard High School in Goldsboro, NC and Ellizabeth City State Teachers College, was married to Samuel Reese Johnson (also deceased) and lived in Williamston, NC.

Raymond Monk Jr. - The eldest son and fourth sibling, is deceased. He married Emma Crowel of Weldon, NC, they lived in Washington , DC until his death. They both worked at the U.S. Capital until they each subsequently retired. Emma still lives in Washington, DC todate. Raymond Jr. graduated from Dillard High School in Goldsboro, NC.

George Monk  - The second eldest living son and fifth sibling, resides in Clinton, NC with his significant other, Carol Mirelez. He's a successful entreprenuer and owns Monk Trucking Company.

Geraldine Archie - The fourth eldest living daughter and sixth sibling, formerly of Anne Arundel, Maryland, now resides in Goldsboro.  She graduated from Dillard High school in Goldsboro, NC. She is now an Evangelist and also works in the home health care services field. 

James L. Monk - The third eldest lving son and seventh sibling, resides in Fayetteville, NC. He married Christine Simmons of Goldsboro. He graduated from Dillard High School In Goldsboro, NC, Fayetteville State University and is a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army active duty and some 30 years in the reserves.  He taught school for the Fayetteville City schools for over 25 years and is now retired.

This Family Member Wishes to Remain Anonymous - The fourth eldest living son and eighth sibling.

Joan "JoAnne" Monk - The youngest living daughter and female sibling, resides in Goldsboro, NC.  She graduated from Dillard High School and Fayetteville Cosmetology School. 

Larry D. Monk Sr. - The fifth eldest living son and tenth sibling, formerly of Burbank, California, now resides in Goldsboro, NC.  He married Diana M. Rodriguez of North Hollywood, California.  He graduated from Gwinn High School in Gwinn, Michigan, Los Angeles City College and North Carolina Wesleyan College. He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Harry L. Monk Sr. - The youngest living son and sibling, resides in Fayetteville, NC.  He married Carolyn Dunican of Wilson, NC. He graduated from Fayetteville Technical College and is currently attending Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC. He is the supervisor on his job at the Fayetteville City Hall.  He is also a Desert Storm veteran.  Harry served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force, he is a military retiree.
