The Three Year Plot-

Currently there is a plot going on that I have been planning ever since my joining of NWP. Let me explain it all from the beginning. This will cover every detail needed to understand what is going on...

Years ago, the Defenders were a group called the Elite. These Elite were slavers of a sort ordered to go around and kill other wolves before kidnapping the pups. One time the Elite failed to kill all the adults of one of their marks. The mascu they missed was Shanto. He then enacted the power of an ancient magic called the Blood Oath. With this new power the mascu went forth and tried to kill the Elite, mainly Icewolf. He only succeeded in killing one of the members and Icewolf's first family before Icewolf pushed Shanto off a cliff. The Elite fled, suffering two casualties, and renamed themselves the Defenders. They came to the lands of Shinkou Ookami to protect and serve.

Some minor events that passed between those times are that Icewolf was entrusted to raise two pups. These children were named Kindare and Luke. The Defenders as a group raised the two young ones and taught them their ways. Yet it became apparent the two pups were destined to be dark, however Icewolf refused to admit it. Taggerung took a mate after many, many months of courting her. When the Defenders tried to expand their numbers by training new members, Taggerung's mate grew to hate Icewolf for the way Tagger was treated and was forced to suffer.

Tagger left on an expedition to destroy the very cause of the Defenders by killing the families who had survived the terror of the Elite. When he returned, he thought his mate would be proud of him. Yet he found she had changed. It was not untill later that he would find out she was possessed in a manor of sorts. He did not realize this change for quite some time. When Tagger returned, his mate asked him to kill Icewolf. He was shocked by this request but soon decided it was necessary.

Kindare and Luke, who had grown apart from Icewolf over the seasons, tried to rekindle the family relationship with their adoptive father and newly impregnated adoptive mother. With pleading from Icewolf's beloved mate, who is named Antartica, he accepted the offers from the two and it seemed all would be peaceful and happy. They told Icewolf they had something to show him in a few days, giving him the exact time and place to meet them.

Meanwhile, Tagger was perfecting his plan to kill Icewolf. Yet as he laid upon his favorite rock, Deathblood came to him and said that if Tagger killed Icewolf's mate or future pups, Deathblood would make sure Tagger paid the price. Not wishing to have a confrontation with the much more powerful creature, Tagger obliged. After the conversation, Deathblood disappeared to lands unknown.

Icewolf sensed that Kindare and Luke were going to betray him. So he asked the last two Defenders, other than himself, to accompany him to the spot he was supposed to meet the other two. Sure enough, when they came to the designated clearing, Tagger and the other two were there. The six mascus broke out into a fight, eventually the last of the Defenders were killed by Tagger and his two minions.

For quite some time, everything calmed down. A sort of morbid peace over came everyone. Yet one one day, very close to spring, Hawk was reborn. The last thing he remembered was Tagger killing him nearly two seasons ago. Hawk was met with a femme named Ammolite and a lizard called Azarak. Hawk revoked his status as a Defender, not wanting to be the last of a group who's history was so heavily ladened in sorrow.

Hawk then agreed to help Ammolite and Azarak in finding Fiendark, Ammolite's father. Their group traveled to first the underground caverns. There Hawk met the beautiful princess of the cave-demons. She then led them to an old blind wolf who called himself Zales. He claimed to be the one who not only brought Hawk back from the dead, but also caused him and the other Elite to be kidnapped in their childhoods. He had planned for Shanto to be away during the attack. All in all this Zales creature seemed to be deranged and odd. Also Hawk found a way into the home of the Defenders. Once there he went to his chambers and went to put on his lucky bracelet. Yet when he did, it burst into flames and a bird came from the ashes, calling himself Phoebus and the guardian of Hawk's family. As they left the underground, their entourage was attacked by Luke and Kindare. After a heated battle, Luke was killed by Hawk and Kindare fled only to be slaughtered by Tagger.

Hawk's group continued on their quest to rescue Fiendark from the spirit realm. Eventually they did, but on their return home, Hawk seemed tense if not insane. When they drew near to the entrance to the underground, Tagger attacked. Hawk and Taggerung fought fiercely while the others rushed to the underground for Fiendark was needed to cure a disease that wreaked havoc on the cave demons. Soon Hawk could no longer fight. Yet before Tagger could deal the final blow, Icewolf and the two wolfs who had died when the Elite fled years ago, Zues and Thor, fought off the foe. Thor went to tend to the wounded Hawk and Zues ran into the underground to aid the others. Icewolf eventually beat Tagger in their bout, the latter fleeing the scene of battle.

There were complications which caused the group of Hawk, Phoebues, Zues, Fiendark, Istariel (the princess) and Azarak to travel back to the spirit realm. Ammolite's soul had to be rescued and was after a bout with an old enemy to her and Fiendark. When they returned everything seemed to be at peace. Hawk and Istariel had fallen in love and became mates.

Meanwhile, a most devious of being came to the borders of the lands. He had a disease with which he could gain control over an infected being. This mascu was Shanto who by the magic of the Blood Oath had lived the fall from the cliff. He engaged in battle with a wolf and infected them. Yet their battle was interrupted with the appearance of an odd creature who seemed to be half cougar and half corpse. By the time Shanto landed and learned this beings name was Mexoud, the poison had spread through his once foe and begun to fully possess them.

During all of these events, Icewolf returned home to his mate. They had a joyous reuniting which soon caused Antartica to enter labor. She gave birth to three pups, two males and one female. The males were named Zefirino and Gelu while the girl was named Aelariah.
