Hello my name is Jack and I was abandoned at 3 weeks old at a rescue centre in Valencia Spain with my 6 brothers and sisters. When I was 4 weeks old my new rescue mum took me home to live with her and my 2 new friends Chelsea and Cassy who are westies. When I was 5 months old a lady came round to look at my legs and hips and she said to my mum I have to have a x-ray to see if I have hip dysplasia. For the next whole month I had x-ray after x-ray and they found out I had hip dysplasia very bad in both of my hips. When I was 6 months old I had an operation to take the pain away which was to scrape away the nerves from my hip socket. The surgeon started with my left hip and that went ok, but when he started on my right hip, it went terribly wrong, My femar head was in the way to do the scrape so the vet started to hammer at my femar head to move it out the way, eventually my right femar head broke off and my femar broke down the middle. It ended up that my femar had to be screwed together with 5 screws and I ended up being a tramua patient. I spent 2 nights in the hospital on morphene it was touch and go if I would survive. I came home to be with my owner and she cared for me everyday and didnt leave my side. I got a lot better by having muscle building injections every 2 weeks. My right hip is better now but my left hip has come completly come out of my hip socket. I need to have another operation but it is going to be very expensive and my mum cant afford it, so the only way i can have it done is with your help.......
