Mon Calamari and Dunbeloth

Mon Calamari is often called as the "jewel of the Outer Rim." It is also home to one of the largest shipyards in the entire galaxy, serving the New Republic Navy for almost a decade and the Rebel Alliance before that. Mon Calamari is home to two species: the mining-driven Quarrens and the construction-driven Calamarians. Though the two species have often came in conflict, compromises brought the inhabitants of the planet together for peaceful coexistence.

The nine-planet system is located in the Xappyh Sector in the Outer Rim that also contains the system of Munto Codru. Making up more than half of the population's sector, Mon Calamari boasts a population of approximately 27 billion despite the sparsity of islands on the mostly-oceanic world. The vast majority of the planet's population live on floating cities constructed for habitation.

Mon Calamari is a dedicated member of the New Republic and holds a seat in the New Republic Senate represented by Senator Gorthroush.
