The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd

The Head: it is massive with a broad front, having a prominent eye protuberance, the cranium is a little arched with a not really marked stop; it must be completely covered with fur of uniform length; the strong muzzle gets narrower at the end, the lenght of the muzzle is shorter or at last equal to the cranium / skull part called neurocranium; the janes are very strong, the bite is a scissors-like or princers-like type / shape.

Ears: not too big, high positioned, having a triangular shape, a little rounded at the end, hanging down the cheeks; while acting or in the state of attention the ears take a slightly backward position; ear - cutting is allowed but not recommended.

The Tail: highly enough positioned; while pausing it is carried in a vertical position with a slightly rearched top; while acting it is raised up to the level of its back but its bending towards the back of the dog is not allowed, that is why some breeders shorten the tail but this is not really recommended.

Hair: it represents the essential element of this breed; long and abundant it covers the head, neck, body, tail, and the legs entirely; it's slightly wavy and thick, the rough / harsh is 8 - 16 cm length, the down hair is fluffy and soft.

the criteria witch depart in the case of the qualificative "well" genetical defects connected to the lack in the number of teeth (m1, m2, p3, p4, the fangs and the incisives).

Note: in female's case, getting the qualitatives "well" and "verry well" implies a compulsory achievement of coordinated breed; in the male's case, the right for breed reproduction is given only when they obtain the qualitative "verry well".
