
Welcome to Los Angeles Valley College Women's Soccer.
The Los Angeles Valley College Women's on Soccer team traveled to Oxnard College this past weekend for the Annual Sea Breeze Tournament. They faced College of the Desert on Saturday and won by the score of 2-1 in a gamed that was dominated by the lady Monarchs. Erica Nolasco and Noelle score a goal a piece to give the Monarchs their first win this season. On Sunday, they played Hartnell College to a scoreless draw, again the Lady Monarchs dominated the entire game, but were unable to get a goal in after numerous attempts. The team will travel to San Diego to face off San Diego City College today Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Head Coach Shane Watkins felt really happy with the teams performance in the tournament. This year's recruits come from schools such as North Hollywood, Grant, San Fernando, Verdugo Hills, Van Nuys, Taft, St. Genevieve, Monroe, and Valley Alternative High Schools. The freshman class is full of talent and will be a vital source and great addition to last year's returners to compete for the WSC Title. LA Valley College is a competitive team and will face off teams in the Western State Conference, like Pierce College, Ventura College, Moorpark College, College of the Canyons and other competitive colleges in Southern and Northern California.
