HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Scandinavian Cross Stitch Designs by Jana Hauschild Lindberg
An excellent book that has fairly easy to follow patterns based on classical designs from Norway, Sweeden and Denmark, along with a section on Viking Designs. Suggestions for all kinds of beautiful projects, from table runners to bookmarks to egg cosies, but the patterns can easily be modified for any project and also modified to make them more pagan-themed, if you so desire. Great for novices or more advanced crafters.

Viking Patterns for Knitting by Elsebeth Lavold
A very pagan/heathen themed book - She even teaches you how to weave runes into your patterns! These projects all have a bit of the old religion in them - from the mythological names to the actual patterns, which are modified from actual viking artifacts! Many of these projects have a very old feel to them, and very few of them look ridiculous (a real accomplishment for a knitting book). Most of these patterns are good for everyday wear. Mostly sweaters and hats with a few tunics, hoods, pillows and throws. Beautiful pictures - she includes pictures of both artifacts and the knitting projects. A lot of these projects, especially the tunics, are just gorgeous. For moderate to advanced knitters, in my opinion (I'm a rather poor knitter - my love is crochet).

Celtic Cross-Stitch by Mike Vickery
Some very good and fairly easy cross-stitch designs that are celtic themed, taken from actual documents and artifacts. Very adaptable patterns, with letters and borders that can be modified for your own projects. Some of these projects have a bit of Christianity in them, some have a bit of Paganism. Great for novices or more advanced stitchers.
