More then 10 years ago, Therese Robinson founded the Body's Way of Natural Healing, LLC (BWNH), bringing optimal care and the gift of healing through touch. Her passion and desire as a nurturing Mother Spirit serving in stress care management, have lead her in this exciting direction, which is to coordinate programs focusing on renewing a woman's spirit through her rites of passage to motherhood.
Ms Robinson is certified in Reflexology and LaStone Therapy, having studied with LaStone founder Mary Nelson. She received a full scholarship to Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA and studied prenatal/labor massage with the creator of Nurturing the Mother, Claire Marie Miller. Ms Robinson has obtained her certification through ALACE and ICTC as a professional labor doula/birth companion, a member with CAPPA Operation Special Delivery and a La Leche League International Breastfeeding Peer Counselor/Program Administrator. She is an active member and supporter with "Metro Breastfeeding Village" in the the Washington DC Metro sponsoring support with breastfeeding. She educates and facilitates workshops in support of infant mortality prevention to young mothers and support working mothers in their efforts at breastfeeding.
In addition to her gift of touch, Ms Robinson is a tactile artist who teaches beading classes in the Washington DC surrounding areas. She is a jewelry designer, specializing in waist beads for mothers-to-be, and is exploring decorative belly portraits: the taking of a plaster cast of a woman's pregnant belly, which is then embellished with beads.
Local businesses and individuals throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan region, use Ms Robinson stress care services. As part of her mission, Ms Robinson goals is to coordinate future projects and programs in the healing arts, infant mortality prevention, and breastfeeding awareness.
