Ok, I'd been hanging about the Icelandic venue all day before the gig and it was cool. Then the band arrived. For a fan like me to have Brian, Steve and Stefan walking past randomly,it was just so cool. While i was watching the support band, Maus (very good band!!), Brian came and stood almost right next to me!!! He is really really tiny (no way is he 5 foot 6) but he make sother guys look really cumbersome and he is so perfect and effortlessly cool *sigh* He's amazing.I watched the Placebo gig from the side of the stage, which was really cool.
After all that, i stayed to help tidy up and then went to the aftershow party at this little bar in town. Brian left early cos he had a headache, poor baby!!! I was taken over to meet Stefan. He shook my hand (his hands are really soft) and said hello. He seems really shy and sweet. He went back to his conversation and i was taken to the table with Steve, Lisa (make-up girl) Xavier and a guy from the support band. Steve shook my hand and kissed me on both cheeks. We sat down and chatted with Steve and Lisa for a while until they left. Then the support band guy left and I chatted with Xavier. He is LOVELY!!! He is a really nice, down to earth guy.
All the band seemed really nice but Steve was a bit drunk and weird and Brian was quite...elusive.
All the rumours about them being nasty and snotty arent true and if you are ever treated badly by them as a fan, blame the tour manager cos he is very protective of the band and they dont like it.
