Mission


The Missouri Geriatrics Society is a multidisciplinary society, dedicated to high standards of health care for older persons, through education, research, and professional/public awareness, which also serves as a forum and resource for professionals, organizations, agencies and community programs involved in the care of older Missourians.

The Missouri Geriatrics Society is dedicated to:

· High standards of health care for elderly patients across the healthcare continuum

· Geriatric education of healthcare profession students

· Increasing professional and public awareness of geriatric medical issues

· Geriatric and gerontology research here in Missouri

· Serving as a forum for geriatric issues

· Being a geriatric resource to professional and lay organizations, government agencies, and community programs

· Working with the American Geriatrics Society and other professional societies on geriatric projects
