History of us
I've carried this website in some form or another all of my high school career. I am now a senior and it has grown with me, each iteration representing the evolving states of my maturing brain. Somehow, I always find myself back here - updating, getting excited about new ideas, blah blah. Though this website went through many iterations, both aesthetically and in name, the content remained relatively the same; I wrote the humorous jibber-jabber,
This whole thing has never been more that an experiment on my personal creative limits. Always testing myself to see how long I can keep the website up before burning out. I do believe the longest I ever went was about two weeks. But through those short bursts of creativity my cohort and I managed to stockpile literally hundreds of pages worth of blogs, cartoons, comics, articles, and poems. I was keeping all that old shit hidden, but recently I started cleaning out the attic, so to speak. Which prompted me to write down my thoughts on this whole mess we call a website, as I do now.
From now on what was known as Flaming Puppy, Dogboy, Brainstorm, Parody, sCRAP, and the Online Humor Magazine, is now simply "The Experiment". Because I couldn't think of anything clever or witty. Now I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with this site, maybe continue the blog for as long as that lasts me, or post new articles I write before I submit them off to other humor sites. This website gets such infrequent traffic that I began submitting my articles to the-iss.com, which were totally published. So I recommend you go to that site, they're awesome. I went ahead and took down that single issue of OHM we had up, even though I spent forever putting it together.
