After the human population grows past 9.2 billion, the ambitious Space Overpopulation Program is launched.  The calender has adopted the UC-Universal Century- years.  In year UC 0079, a man named Zeon enters side 3, the furthest space colony from the earth and leads side 3 to rebel against the Earth Federation's goverment.  With gigantic human shaped weapons called mobile suits, the zeon gain an upper hand.  But the Federation is about to launch a mobile suit of it's own.  And rookie Pilot Amuro Ray is the one to launch it against the zeon ace, Char Anzble.

2nd Lieutenant Shiro Amada has been transferred to the ground unit from the space unit to test a new Gundam-The RX-79-1-Ground Type.  Leading the 08th mobile suit team of Kojima Battlestation, a team of rogues and misfits, he must decide between his friends and military superior, or the woman he loves, Ayna Saharin, a zeon soldier testing a "mobile armor" created by her evil older brother.

A zeon soldier named Bernie has been assigned to destroy a gundam before it is built.  But when he gets to side 6, his mobile suit crashes and a boy named Alex finds him.  Bernie later falls in love with Alex's neighbor, Chris.  Little does he know that Chris is the test pilot of the Gundam bernie is trying to destroy.  The RX-78-G-4-NT1-Ground Prototype Gundam and the MSN08-5-3-A Ground Prototype Zaku are destined for conflict in the minuitare war in side 6, The War In The Pocket.

In the beginning of the one year war, the zeon used colony drops and poison gasses to create massive destruction in the federation.  Therefore, the Antarctic Treaty for the One Year War stated that no nuclear missiles, Poison gasses, or colony drops could be administered.  Around the End of the One Year War, an ace zeon soldier named Anvel Gato stole a nuclear mobile suit-the RX-78-G-3-GP02-Ardmen-SFVG.  The Albion, the 6th Pegusus class mobile suit carrier ship was sent to find it.  With it, the RX-78-G-1-GP01-Zephrythesis-SOVG, RGM-79-Quell-Command-SFVG, MSN-04-G, and the RGM-79-GM-Cannon were deployed.  As the year 0082 drew to a close, the Albion's GP01 Unit had suffered heavy damage in battle with the GP02.  Kou Uraki, the Pilot, had requested to pick up the the Rest of the GP01's Armor and repair it at Aniheim Electronics.  Thus, The RX-78-G-2-GP01-Zephrythesis SFVG was born, A.K.A. the GP01 Full Vernier.  After a battle in  Feburary of 0083, the GP01 and GP02 were both destroyed,  the Delaz Fleet, a group of remnant Zeons, built a mobile armor made to destroy the earth and therefor send all the colonies into orbit of mars.  But the Albion had it's secrets too.  It went back to Austraillia, picked up the RX-78-GP03-Statmen-SOG, the RX-78-GP03-Orchis, and the RX-78-GP03 Dendrubium, and sent Kou into battle with Anvel in the GP03 Dendrubium.

  U.C. 0087.  Char Azneble, now working with A.E.U.G., Is looking for the 3 new gundams developed- Mark IIs 01,02, and 03.  Meanwhile, on the colony of Green Oasis, Camille Vidan is looking for a way to get off the poor excuse for a colony and become a soldier.  After meeting some rude soldiers from the Titans, he steals unit 02 and tries to crush the soldier.  He finally decides to help Char (now known as Lt. Quattro Vagina) and steals the other 2.  He was then set as the MK2's pilot.  After a while, they take units 02 and 03 apart and use them to strengthen unit 01 and it then becomes extremely effective.  They go around blowing stuff up and then fall to earth, there meeting the Audruma and it's captain, Hayato Kayabashi.  Then Amuro Ray and Katsu Kayabashi go and join the crew and head for Kennedy Spaceport.  There, half of the injured soldiers of Audruma are sent to the Ahgma, their Main ship and a cheap copy of the White Base.  Audruma soon pick up a A.E.U.G. Pacifist named Belotchika and she and Amuro make very good friends.  They meet some friends of Belotchika's and they send Katsu and Lt. Vagina up, but Amuro and Camille were delayed for the flight because of a Hi-Zack.  Camille later meets with someone named Four Marusame, but the was a strengthened human, or "artificial newtype"  She tries to destroy Camille but realises she loves him (sound familiar? check 08th ms team).  She sacrifices herself for him later on.  Camille, Grieved, is commanded to go to space and meet the Ahgma.  There, he recieves the newest gundam, the RX-87-S Zeta Gundam and Lt. Vagina recieves the Type T-000100 Hyak-Ushi.  After a few battles they are sent back to Earth to destroy Jaburoah, the Titan's new command center only to find it abandoned and a nuclear bomb in the center.  Unfortuneatly, Kai Shiden and one of the Ahgma's crew is in it, so they run in to get them.  Hi-Zacks follow them and are caught in the explosion, but the Audruma and Camille were all right.  They went back to kennedy spaceport and Camille, and the Lt. were able to escape. Now they must face 3 New enemies.  Haiman Jamitov of the Titans, Baptimus Scricco of the Federation, And Haman Kane of the Neo-Zeon.

13 years after the official end of the 1 year war and 5 years after the end of the war of the Titans, Char strike's back.  With newtype mobile suits, advanced beam weapons, and plans to a colony drop, Armuro couln't care less.  Char Anzble and Amuro Ray have been Rivals since the first day of the 1 year war.  Char, the Ace pilot lost his pride when Amuro, a rookie, defeated him in record time- 4.36 minuites.  Now they are both ace pilots finally ready to find out who is the better Newtype Pilot.  After Fighting together in the War of the Titans, they must seperate and go at each other's throats once more.  Who will win and die and who will loose and survive?
